Imagine this… you’ve been on the road all day, the sun is setting as you pull into camp. You pitch the tent, grab your chair and pour yourself a drink. Then you pull some hot pies, flaky pastry and all - nothing soggy, from your Travel Buddy Portable 12V Oven by Crystal Air in the back of your vehicle!
Sounds pretty good right? Well with these handy little 12V ovens the idea of oven-baked food being cooked whilst in transit is a reality. Powered from your car’s 12V cigarette socket, the Travel Buddy Oven can heat food up to 170°C.
Mounted or free-standing, the Travel Buddy Portable Oven has two shelves and enough space to heat pre-prepared oven meals, pies, pasties, nachos even a roast and warm crusty bread, the possibilities are endless!
Campers, caravan tourers and tradespeople will find this handy little oven a priceless addition to their setup, and truck drivers may appreciate being able to heat up healthy home-cooked meals rather than surviving on greasy truck-stop grub.

Enclosed Travel Buddy1 answer
Can the travel buddy be build into an enclosed cupboard or drawer (or something similar in), or does it need to be mounted in an open area?
Joel - Aldinga Beach, SA(8 months ago)
G'day Joel,
The Travel Buddy is insulated so there's no issues having in recessed into a draw/cupboard system, etc however the front section needs to be open when the oven is in operation. Obviously, you'll need clearance to be able to open the Travel Buddy door, but if you want to have it shut away in a cupboard for example, just open the cupboard door when you're cooking.

Time taken to heat up1 answer
Wondering roughly how long the oven takes to heat up to 170c
Alex - Hobart(4 years ago)
G'day Alex,
We're not 100% sure exactly how long it will take to heat up to exactly 170C but we'd say to give it at least 20 minutes. However, if you're plugging it in when you set off on a trip you can pop your items in before you go and set the timer.

Hi Just wanting to know if the temperature is adjustable on this model and does this one have tie downs included?1 answer
Small Travel Buddy Oven.
Nigel - Bright(6 years ago)
G'day Nigel,
The Travel Cuddy 12V Portable Oven doesn't have temperature variability, for that you'll need to purchase the Travel Buddy 12V Portable Marine Oven. The Marine model also comes with some brackets to mount the oven.
