Does the showers pump fit into the pro quip wide mouth jerry can?
Luke - Mclaren Vale, SA(2 years ago)
G'day Luke,
Unfortunately not! I have one of these showers, and am yet to find a jerry that will fit it. We just keep a bucket on hand, it's easier to mix hot water, etc into it if you are after a warm shower.

Recycle water1 answer
Hi is it possible to place the pump of this item in a tub of water in which I am standing and have the water recycle over me thereby continuously using the same water? Thanks
Rafael - Annandale, NSW(3 years ago)
G'day Rafael,
The Companion 12V Shower does not have an inline filter. Recycled shower water which has soaps and dirt, etc that will block the shower pump and shower head over time. If you have an option to catch and filter the water between showers that would work better for you than having a continuous cycle of dirty water. Hope that helps.

Can the pump be used as a replacement in a Thetford toilet?1 answer
Existing pump is 36mm diameter and 105mm long. Am only interested in the pump.As long as it fits in the tank it should be OK. I have reservations about dealing with eBay sellers.
George Johnson - Samford Village, QLD(3 years ago)
G'day George,
The widest point of the 12V Shower Pump is 5.4cm so based purely on this the pump sounds like it is going to be much too large to fit your toilet setup.

Safe to use with collected river water?1 answer
Just wondering if the pump has some kind of filter to protect itself from debris? I would use it with collected river water and wouldn’t want the pump to get ruined. If not, is there some kind of filter that can be added? Cheers
Jake - Stanmore (4 years ago)
G'day Jake,
The 12V Shower is designed for use with clean water, so if you're wanting to use it with river water then we'd suggest filtering the water before you use it. There isn't an easily attachable filter for this system, generally this style of filter is designed for us with gas shower systems like the Smarttek unit. We'd suggest sticking to using clean water with this shower head.

Used for drinking water?1 answer
Could this be used (with an adjustment to the shower head) for pumping drinking water? As in, is it hygienic enough?
Aaron - Sydney(4 years ago)
G'day Aaron,
The 12V Shower isn't really designed for use with drinking water, the hoses are specified as drinking water hoses, so it's not something we'd recommend.

Width of the pump1 answer
Hi. Do you know if the pump would fit inside a 20L water jerrycan or do you have to pour the water in a bucket. Thanks in advance
Rem - Manly(6 years ago)
G'day Rem,
This is a tough one to answer as it all depends on the size of the opening on your Jerry Can. To give you an idea so you can work out whether it will work for you, the pump at it's widest point in diameter is 5.4cm.

We are having problems with the on/off switch. Can you buy a replacement switch? If so how much?1 answer
Elaine - PORT LINCOLN, SA(8 years ago)
G'day Elaine - I don't believe you can buy the switch separately. If it's in warranty, it may be able to be repaired or replaced. Did you buy it from us? Let me know and I'll see what we can do. :) Cheers, Paul

How many litres a minute does the shower head use? How long is the 12 v lead?1 answer
I am looking for an option to our inbuilt shower when we are in the bush to save water.
Leanne - Ansell-McBride(8 years ago)
Hi Leanne, I have added these details to our specifications for your reference. Flow rate is 4 litres per minute, and the power lead is 4 metres long.
