Does the fridge have a light inside when you open it?
G'day James,
Great question, and yes it does! It's not inside the fridge per say, but just under the control panel lip on the right-hand side so will easily light up the drawer as you open it.
I do a lot of off-road and need to hard mount this unit if I buy it. Can I rivet on 4 x right angle mounts onto the side of the unit? Or will that damage the cooling system. A tie down mount just will not work for me.
G'day Chris,
I'd suggest getting in contact with BRass Monkley directly to see if they can give you any further advice. As you say, if you nick a pipe in the cooling system you're basically done for. They may be able to advise the best placement if you can go ahead with that option.

The alternative is to use something like aluminum strapping to bend into a horseshoe bracket or two that can go over the fridge but still be anchored to the floor of your vehicle.
hi, I was wondering how much the current it uses when set on fridge mode (0 - 8 degreeds), I presume the mentioned 60W will be when at full capacity towards -20 degrees? Kind regards
G'day Tom,
Unfortunately, Brass Monkey does not provide any power consumption specifications other than what's stated in our details online.
Given that these are quite high, I'd assume the specs stated are likely the maximum draw, but we wouldn't be able to guess at consumption for different temp ranges.
Can the compressor be remotely mounted and if so what are the draw dimensions with the compressor unit removed?
G'day Brian,
No, the compressor is a fixed mount & cannot be removed or relocated.
None of the drawer fridges we currently sell have a moveable compressor I'm sorry!
You have stated that stacking can't be done for these fridges. Why is this? Weigh, heat, ventilation. Could a frame with a spacer be used?
G'day Gregor,
If you use a frame with a spacer, or shelving that fully weight bears the top fridge, and allows for the recommended ventilation, you'll be fine!
I have a caravan with full tunnel boot. I measured and the fridge will fit easily. With the tunnel boot fully locked up (when travelling or when sleeping at night), will this fridge be ok for venting? The tunnel boot door will be open during the day
G'day Sean,
Yes, basing my answer off the fact that a lot of caravans have tunnel boots specifically for fridges to fit in.
I have seen loads of people have their fridges locked up exactly as you have described, with no issues.
I cant see any reason why this one would be different.
Can 24 beers fit in while still in the cardboard box?
G'day Miy,
This will largely depend on the brand of beer you drink, generally, a slab will be right around the same size as the internal dimensions of the draw. Due to the opening mechanism, and overhang of the casing, you'll usually need to pull the cans out of the box to fit them in the draw.
Does it come with a cigarette plug or an Anderson plug?
G'day Sam,
You can see this at around the 30second mark on our product video online, it's a cigarette plug that has a merritt plug option.
Can it be hooked up too 240v
G'day Matthew,
This fridge runs on 12/24V power only.
You may be able to pick up a 240v to 12v transformer to run this through if 240v is your only power source.
Jaycar would be a great place to start.
Is there a reccomended amount of space to leave at the back? Looks like the vents are on the side of the compressor so hoping no need to leave a space at the back. Also, can you stack two of these on top of one another?
G'day Simon,
You can find all install specs on page 5 of the operating manual, listed as a PDF on our product page.
Unfortunately, you're not able to stack these fridges at all.
The internal dimensions are 42L x 30 / 31.5W x 13 / 15H I assume the first set is the capacity of the drawer and the second is without the drawer? Does that mean the useable capacity is 42 x 30 x 13 = 16.38L?
G'day Alex,
I agree the way its written is confusing!
The fridge cavity walls actually taper down slightly so there is the bottom and top width, and theres a small lip on the top of the drawer wall, with a measurement too this lip and a total wall height.
So its 42L x 30-31.5W x 13(15)H cm
Hope that makes sense!
Hi. I am interested in this fridge but I do not know anything about this brand. Are they a quality item and do they have after sales support/service/parts if any repairs are needed down the track?
G'day Greg,
Whilst these are an extremely well-priced entry-level fridge, they do come with a 3 year warranty which should give you some reassurance.
They don't have an after-sales support or service network, but any warranty queries can come back through Snowys.
We haven't stocked these fridges for very long, however, the feedback has been positive...we just can't comment on long-term performance.
