Will it work with the Planet Earth Area Light?1 answer
Is it compatible with the Planet Earth area light?
Lou - Ringwood North, VIC(1 year ago)
G'day Lou,
This transformer delivers 3A, and the EPE Area Light requires 2.5A. So as far as we can tell, without actually trying it out, you shouldn't have any issues.

Kings light kit1 answer
Will this run a Kings light kit?
Michael - Croydon, SA(3 years ago)
G'day Michael,
We don't sell Kings products at all sorry, so cannot confirm compatibility with their light kit. Having said that, I do believe the connection on the Hard Koor Transformer is a generic 12v lighting kit one, so you may have success. If you are local to one of our stores feel free to bring in one of the Kings light bars to check it out.

The Hard Korr 240V to 12V transormer1 answer
Sorry - I'm also a little confused. I have just purchased a Hard Korr 4 bar, 3 colour 12V system from you guys (it's great!). I'd also like to power the lights from 240V. However, I don't understand how this transformer will connect. That is, the 4 bar lighting system is powered by a cigarette lighter male connector (changeable to a Merit Plug). As this clearly will not receive the male cigarette lighter plug, does this allow the Merit plug to connect somehow?
david - Burwood East, VIC(3 years ago)
G'day David,
The 12V cigarette/merit connector in the 4 Bar kit attaches via the pin and screw mechanism directly to the dimmer switch. Instead of attaching the 12V cigarette/merit connector, you attach the 240 to 12V transformer using the same pin and screw mechanism.

I don't understand: The illustration shows a plugpack.1 answer
Yet the package contains an IEC power cable, which implies a free-floating pack. Which is it?
doug - Cootamundra(4 years ago)
G'day Doug,
The product is a plugpack as the images shows. The the fixed cable is IEC with the all connectors internally built within the transformer. Ive been intouch with Korr to clarify their product description and they've agreed it is confusing, and will re-word their product specs. Thanks so much for your question, and hope that helps!

Does this connect to the Korr 4 light 12v set??1 answer
How does it connect if it connects?
Benny - Ashmore (5 years ago)
Hi Benny,
This connects to the same plug your 12V adapter/cord would attach to your 4 light kit. It simply enables you to connect to a 240V power source to run your lights.
I hope this answers your question.

Can this run a five bar light kit1 answer
Will this run all five light bars in a Korr kit
Shane - Edmonton (6 years ago)
Hi Shane,
The output stamped on the transformer is 3000mA, or 3 Amps. Each light bar draws 0.6A, so adding all of these together comes to 3 Amps total. As all the Korr connections are good and designed to be used with each other, mathematically you can run all five light bars from this transformer, but you're right on the edge.
Ideally, in order to ensure the best performance, you want to aim at drawing around 80% of the total transformer output, so with all five bars running there's a chance you will experience a small dip in lighting output.
