The Ultralight Aluminium 27-1 cooker system from Trangia is about as simple and reliable as it gets when it comes to lightweight cook systems for hiking and trekking.
Constructed from lightweight aluminium, with a compact and space saving design, the 27-1 is the perfect size for a couple or lone wolf. Easy to use and set up – the 27-1 comes with two saucepans, and a frypan, so you aren’t limited to rehydrated meals. It also comes with a pot grip, which provides an effective way to handle this system without burning your hands.
This stove has a two-part windshield for keeping your flame safe from the bitterly cold wind, and an easy to light spirit burner with a simmer ring to control and extinguish the flame. Simple, reliable and made with an eye for quality – the Trangia 27-1 lightweight aluminium stove system is perfect for the minimal hiker or couple.

Can this use Kerosene?1 answer
Hi, is this able to use Kerosene as fuel?
Brock - Orange, NSW(7 months ago)
G'day Brock,
No, Trangia strongly advises against the use of oil based fuels in their stoves, such as kerosine or petrol...it can cause serious injury and damage the wick of the burner. Alcohol based fuels such as Metho, or Ethanol are the best bet.

Fire danger season1 answer
Hello, could you still use this while in the fire danger season? Well, legally anyway…
Sophie - 5000(5 years ago)
G'day Sophie,
It will depend on the location you're wanting to use the Trangia, but you can't use any fuel fires on Total Fire Ban Days, and lots of National Parks prefer gas stoves to be used during fire danger season to reduce the chances of accidentally starting a fire. The best option would be to check with National Parks or the CFS in the state you want to use it.

do you stock the 27-8 and for what price1 answer
looking to compare difference between 27-1 and 27-8
Greg Jewson - North Curl Curl(7 years ago)
G’day Greg,
We don’t stock the 27-8 at the moment, but we can get in it for you if you like as a special order. We can give you a quote over the phone, or you can send us an email at service@snowys.com.au.
The main difference between the 27-8 and 27-1 is that ultralight aluminium. On the other hand, the 27-8 comes a combo of ultralight aluminium and hard anodised aluminium and has a kettle whereas the 27-1 doesn’t. You can check out the whole 27 series on Trangia's website side by side here if that helps.
The anodised surface is going to be easier to clean and more scratch-resistant, so it’s more hardwearing than ultralight aluminium.

Hard Anodised versions avaiable?1 answer
Do you stock the Hard Anodised versions of the 27 series? We are hoping for something a little quicker to clean (might save on water that way when out on the tracks!). Also, do you stock the gas cooker attachment?
Emmet - Canberra(7 years ago)
Hi Emmett, we are hoping to get the entire Trangia range online as soon as possible, but we don’t currently stock the Hard Anodised 27-1 stove or cooker attachment. I’ve looked into this for you, and we can get the Hard Anodised 27-1 stove for you at a competitive price, which would take about 2 weeks. The gas cooker is not approved for use in Australia so we can’t make that available at this time. We’d love to help you out with this so please give us a call on 1300 914 007 so we can follow this through with more detail.

Is a kettle included as demonstrated in the utube clip?1 answer
Catherine - Wollongong(8 years ago)
G'day Catherine - No, it doesn't include the kettle. I've just updated the title on the video to make it clearer that it isn't necessarily the product pictured. The 27-1 Small comes with everything in the product picture though and the pots are just as capable of boiling water. If you're after the kettle, let me know and I will upload the product online as we do stock it. Hope that helps. Cheers, Paul
