Keep your smelly rubbish, recyclables, or wet gear out of the clean interior of your vehicle with the Wheelie Bin from Bushranger.
This bin has a self-supported main compartment that can hold 57 litres with a moveable ridged divider and two sides with a 5-litre capacity. Made from hard wearing reinforced PVC, with a double padded base and partial walls for extra strength – you can rely on this bin to keep its contents contained. It’s also UV tested in Australia, will hold up to colour fading, and has a reflective strip which will increase visibility at night.
The overlarge flap prevents dust getting in, and the four side release buckles will hold the lid down securely. When its time to empty it out, the vented eyelets in the base make it easy to drain the contents, then you just hose it down and dry it out.
Secure your waste or extra gear on the back of your vehicle, with the durable and easy to use Wheelie Bin from Bushranger.
Hi, would it attach to a stone guard? Cheers
G'day Alex,
If it doesn't attach to a stone guard straight off the shelf, but you could come up with a fairly easily DIY solution. You wouldn't have any issues with something like riveting/screwing solid D loops to the stone guard that would allow the straps to be secured.
Depending on the actual height of the stone guard and how it's shaped, the straps may even wrap around it - they're approx 190cm long.
Hope that helps, if you make it work post a photo in our review section, it would be super helpful to others!
I hav a caravan with wheel size LT265/75R16 will this wheelie bin fit on the spare wheel?
G'day Sue,
We can't confirm if it will fit on that specific tyre without having one here to test out, but we can say that the straps are very adjustable. The total strap length is approx 190cm so as long as you have enough length for the rear cross over it will work.
If you have a soft tape measure you should be able to double check that, but from what i can find googling the dimensions of your specified tyre, you should be fine.
Hi, Just wondering if the straps are long enough to fit over a Prado spare wheel (17" tyre) with the factory metal cover? Ideally, we'd like to keep the spare wheel cover in place.
G'day Anna,
We cant say for sure as we don't have any Prados with that wheel cover here to check for you.
The straps are 190cm long and fully adjustable so that should give you some indication.
Feel free to pop up to the store are give it a try before you grab one.
.
G'day Tom,
There isn't a specified weight rating for these bags, but the bag and straps are made from quite a heavy-duty material so we'd be pretty confident that 20kg won't be a problem. The straps are adjustable and will fit most tyre sizes, I dare say you won't have any troubles with a Jimny Spare.
Will this fit over a MAXTRAX Rear Wheel Harness?
G'day Vic,
I've done a quick image search for a MAZTRAX Rear Wheel Harness, and I think you should be ok will most tyre sizes. The attachment straps are 190cm long so it might be worth taking some measurements to make sure it would fit. I'd be somewhat concerned that the MAXTRAX will damage the back of the back though, so you might to something to cover the MAXTRAX too.
Would these attach to a spare tyre on a swing away arm of a camper trailer?
G'day Peter,
We can't think of any reason that they wouldn't. The straps are adjustable length so can usually be fitted to tyres in a wide variety of sizes without any hassles.
Hoping to squeeze some recovery gear in the side pockets, separate to the main bin area
G'day Jack,
Depending on your snatch strap we think you should be ok to pop it in the side pocket.
We have R17 light truck tyres. Do you know if it will fit on those?
G'day T,
I've previously asked Bushranger about larger tyres and they indicated that a 35-inch 4WD tyre will be fine, based on an R17 light truck tyre, they are almost the same size. The straps are quite adjustable and have approximately 190cm of length so your should be able to fit them over and adjust the straps to make it fit.
Hi does this bag have zips and if not how does it keep the dust/water out.
G'day Geoff,
The Bushranger 4WD Wheelie Bin does not have any zips, and is anchored shut by several buckle straps. Whilst it is not entirely sealed the lid does overlap the main body of the bag by a few inches, so this should prevent water getting in and keep the bulk of dust out.
Cheers
G'day Travis,
We can't say for certain whether the Bushranger 4x4 Wheelie Bin will fit a 35-inch tyre as we don't have a tyre that large to check for you. I've called the supplier and they have indicated that you should be able to fit it on your 35 inch- tyres (depending on the width). They are very adjustable and the total strap length is approx 190cm so as long as you have enough length for the rear cross over it should be fine.
Hi as i drive a ute with a canopy would this bag fit over the tail gate do you think
G'day Paul,
The Bushranger 4WD Wheelie Bin is designed to attach to a spare wheel so you might be able to attach the bag over the tailgate on the ute canopy but it might take a little bit of McGyvering.
That hold the bag to the spare wheel
The clips are a 50mm plastic buckle, Ray. The better quality buckles are usually made with polypropylene which flexes and isn't brittle, these buckles certainly feel like they are from the better quality end of the spectrum.

G'day Matt,
The Bushranger 4x4 Gear 4WD Wheelie Bin straps on to the rear spare wheel of a 4WD.
