I’m wondering if the 6600 uhf gets a better distance range to the GME 6160 model ? Both 5w both GME , the 6600 has a longer warranty & a bigger price tag but I haven’t found a distance comparison for them Cheers

Both having the same 5W transmission power and 476.425 – 477.4125 MHz frequency range, as well as have the same reciever senstivity -121dbm - so they will have pretty similar transmission distances.
The differences in the warranty and price tag comes down to the upspecs on the 6600. The 6600 has a 52hr battery life (6160 has 30hr), has digital scanning technology, is rated to military specification MIL-STD 810G, and has a channel announce feature so you dont have to actively look at the display when changing channels.
The physical performance of the radio in terms of transmission is the same, deciding between the two comes down to whether or not you'll need the extra features.
