The Hi-Tec Altitude VI WP has the rugged outer and sole that allows you to take on the trail with ease.
The upper features premium full grain leather with I-shield hydrophobic technology to keep water and dirt at bay. The lace-up system makes it easy to get a perfect fit, and the rustproof hardware ensures longevity. You can keep going in wet conditions, as the Altitude boot has a Dri-Tec breathable waterproof membrane, plus a micro-fleece lining to wick away moisture for comfort.
The OrthoLite sockliner provides cushioning, and the CMEVA midsole absorbs impact for long-lasting comfort. This boot also has a rigid nylon shank for support and a Michelin multi-directional traction rubber outsole which provides exceptional traction. Lace on a pair of Altitude VI I Boots from Hi-Tec for waterproof protection and multi-surface grip.
These are the VI i WP as the product name suggests. Whilst this is the current model, it has been around for about 4 years unchanged. If you are referring to the older VI WP model from 5 years ago, the differences between these two are that the VI i WP has been built off a different last, making them slightly narrower.

Boots suitable for icy conditions1 answer
I am preparing for a two week holiday touring Japan in January, one of my requirement is boots that can cope with icy conditions, as a fall could ruin my holiday. These boots caught my eye are they considerd suitable? if not perhaps you could suggest alternatives. Thank You.

Ive referred your question on to our shoe expert who had the following information: "That's always a difficult one because what can happen with hiking boots is the snow or ice gets trapped between the lugs on the bottom of the soles it starts to build up and that's what causes you to slip over. There really isn't a boot I could recommend that is suitable for icy conditions except for a snow boot. While I lived in Japan I just had to learn to walk very carefully in the snow and sleet! The Hi-Tec Altitude VI i WP Men's Boot isn't really designed for snowy conditions long term. These boots are waterproof so will keep you feet dry, but they don't have any insulation for the snow, so you might get cold feet depending on where you plan to use them. You might be best giving us a call on 1300 914 007 and we can discuss some options with you

Howdy, are these boots what Hi-Tec call "Wide" or are they the standard width? The older version Altitude was a perfect fit for me and said "Wide" on the label on the tongue.

The new Hi-Tech Altitude VI i WP Men's Boot is a narrow fit when compared to the previous model. If the V fitted you nicely, then unfortunately, this one might be a little squishy for you.

Photo shows Altitude V I WP...... this is the old model. The new model is Altitude VI I WP....... per your text (partly)? Please don't blame me for the stupid naming.

The Altitude VI WP are indeed the older model of this shoe. We do have the updated Altitude VI I WP but they're not available online as of yet.
