No such thing as a series 2 with the BZR's. HardKorr made a minor inline change a fair while ago, to the start-up sequence, but other than that there's been no change. They also have no plans to change them or do a series 2 at all in the future.

piggyback connection1 answer
do i need a piggy back to connect into a 2023 hilux?

G'day Colin,
Whether or not you need to piggyback depends on whether or not you want your existing high beam function to trigger the spotlights. According to the specifications, the wiring harness kit includes a piggyback adapter, so the option is there if you want it.
