Solar powering1 answer
What would be required to run this fridge occasionally using a solar panel?
Chris - Goolwa North, SA (5 months ago)
G'day Chris,
You would need a battery or power pack to connect the fridge to, then solar panels will connect to the battery/power pack to charge the battery while in use to keep the power topped up. Solar wouldn't provide a steady enough current to use on its own. There is a blog here about Battery & Solar Setup which outlines what you need to get your fridge running on a trip and some common questions.

Minimum clearances1 answer
What are the minimum clearances required on each side for safe/efficient operation? Ditto CFF20 version.
Greg - Orbost, VIC(12 months ago)
G'day Greg,
The rule of thumb for all fridges is a clearance of around 5-10cm minimum and making sure it's kept in a spot with adequate ventilation. Generally, the consequences of inadequate ventilation would be the fridge running hot, and drawing a lot of power to offset this. You'd just have a massive drop in efficiency. Hope that helps.
