With the perfect balance of size and weight, with dual fridge and freezer capabilities – the CFX3 75DZ is ideal for families on the go.
This design has a powerful VMSO3 compressor cooling technology which efficiently refrigerates and deep freezes down to -22°C with a superior seal to retain cool air. The heavy-duty yet light ExoFrame construction gives protection in harsh environments, while the strong spring-loaded aluminium handles make carrying easy. Power it by AC, DC or solar and control or monitor it by WiFi/Bluetooth using the free app. Storage-wise, the 75L interior can fit up to 113 cans of drinks and the dual compartments with independent temperature control allow you to cool/freeze at the same time.
It’s also got an easy to read digital display which shows the temperature and status of your unit and comes with an upgraded USB port for charging your phone. House all your frozen or chilled supplies on your next camping trip without taking up too much space with the CFX3 75DZ from Dometic.
Can this unit run from a 120W power outlet?
G'day John,
Yes, the unit can run from a 120W power outlet. They are designed to operate from 100-240V using the supplied AC cord.
I see the length without handles is approx 83cm, can the handles be easily removed without problem to warranty and do you have anything to replace handles with to use as tie down as I have seen on some Engels ? Thanks.
G'day David,
The handles can be removed with an allen key, although there is no alternative options for tie downs. If the fridge needs to be anchored with tie down straps, you'll need to do that through the handles.
Is it possible to use both compartments only as a fridge, if you didn’t need to use a freezer on shorter trips?
G'day Kath,
Yes each compartment will run at whatever temperature you set them to.
If you wanted to run both in freezer or both in fridge zones, that is completely up to you!
Hi, What is the difference between the original and the updated A2 model of these fridges?
G'day Brooke,
Literally no difference other than an additive mixed into the plastic used in the shroud, to meet the A2 compliance requirements for fridges to be sold in NSW.
The fridges are otherwise identical in every way, and the NSW A2 compliance requirements came in about 6-12months ago.
All fridges we sell are A2 compliant, there are not many retailers that would have the non-A2 compliant fridges left at all, and again, this compliance was only relevant in NSW.
G'day Tom,
Its an amendment to standard AS/NZS 60335.2.24 in NSW relating to the flammability of portable refrigeration devices.
As far as I'm aware this was introduced in 2018 with a 24 month time frame for compliance to be met, majority of these started dropping through out 2020, so all fridges currently available will now comply.
I'm tossing up a few models, primarily this model and the Companion 75L Dual Zone. I'm wondering if there's a significant difference between them in terms of how noisy they are when running? Or is any other model a standout for being quiet?
G'day Chris,
The Dometic CFX3 and Companion Dual Zone 75L are both great options. In terms of noise, reports are they are both fairly similar in the field. The main differences really come down to the battery system, the compressor unit, warranty and overall efficiency. The Companion is still fairly new on the market, but uses the SECOP compressor that was previously used in Dometic models, and tends to be a little quieter than some of the other brands on the market. I hope that helps.
Will this run off a 160w panel and a 100ah battery
G'day Samuel,
Yes, the CFX3 75DZ Dual Zone should run from a 160W panel and 100Ah battery with no problems.
What's the difference (other than price) between the CFX375DZ and the CFF75DZ? Do they run different compressors or electronics or simply just have different functions and cases? Cheers
G'day Ted,
There are a few differences between the CFX3 and CFF models. The CFX3 is the more advance model with the new Dometic ACV20DC compressor, they have a longer warranty period, low voltage battery protection, and has a robust exo-skeleton with spring loaded handles. You can also connect the fridge to an app on your phone to monitor temperatures and make sure your unit is in top shape. The CFF is a budget model with a SECOP Danfoss, a shorter warranty period, and there is no low voltage battery protection.
Overall both models will serve a similar purpose, but the CFX3 has more features, and options for greater versatility.
Same question as mycoolman. Can this unit turn seperate compartments off?
G'day David,
Yes, the individual compartments of the CFX3 75DZ can be turned on separately, so you could leave one of the compartments off if you prefer.
is there a insulated cover available for this?
G'day Luke,
There is just the one model available for CFX3 fridges, it is listed as a protective cover, but it does have some EVA insulation, and is specified to improve the efficiency of your fridge.
I was wondering what the height of this fridge is when the lid is fully open?
G'day Blanche,
I've just checked this for you and when you extend the lid fully (vertically) it measures 89cm, hope this helps.
Can the hinges be swapped so the lids can be opened from the other side
G'day Elizabeth,
Yes, the hinges can be swapped over to open from the opposite side, you'll just need a phillips head screwdriver.
What is the length EXCLUDING handles. I know it's 89cm including handles so what is it without so I know if it will fit in my tray. Also what is the factory warranty?
G'day Kieran,
The overall length without the handles is 83cm, the warranty period is 3 years on the whole unit, and an extra 2 years on the compressor.
Is the length listed from outside of handle to opposite handle. Or is is the length on the actual fridge not including the handles
G'day Nicholas,
The length is including the handles when they are in their folded down position.
when do you expect a transit bag/cover to be ready for order with this fridge?
G'day Kieran,
Wish we had an answer for that one mate! As soon as Dometic have them available we'll get them in-store and online, but for the meantime, we're playing the unknown waiting game ;) Fingers crossed it's soon!
G'day Kieran,
I'm just reaching out with a quick update to let you know that CFX3 covers are now available for purchase.
What are the main differences between this model and the previous?
G'day Kieran
Great question, there are a few great new upgrades on the CFX3 models, I'll list them in no particular order; improved control panel (which is now weather protected), rugged aluminium handles (plastic in old model), new lid latch (easier to open with one hand), XOS Frame (more rugged and greater edge protection), improved basket divider and LED light, improved connectivity (new app with bluetooth, power and temperature history monitoring), improved covers (made from EVA foam and lid cover attaches and opens with lid = no velcro!!).
Specifically, on the 75DZ they are 3.3kg lighter
