Camelbak are kind of known for their standard-setting reservoirs, so it’s hard to believe that they were able to improve on them, that is until the Crux™ reservoir came along. The Crux™ 3L Lumbar Reservoir is designed exclusively for the Camelbak Low Rider Packs which offer added stability when you’re on the move.
With a larger access port, you can top up your water supply much quicker and easier. This reservoir is also going to deliver 20% more water per sip, so you can hydrate faster with less effort on your part. You can close off the drinking tube with one hand when you’re mid-action, and the bite valve is self-sealing so you won’t get any leaks or drips mid-run, hike or ride.
With the addition of baffles, your reservoir will keep a low profile in your pack and won’t slosh around as much when you’re in action. The reservoir and tube are made using antimicrobial technology which will assist with inhibiting bacteria growth, so you can keep your water supply fresher and cleaner for all your active pursuits.

How long is bladder pipe?1 answer
Hey guys! Interested to know the length of the bladder pipe? Need a decent length to fit into my pack. Cheers!
Michael - Carlton, VIC (11 months ago)
G'day Michael,
We cant quite measure this one sorry, as the packaging is fully sealed and we dont have a demo model. I can confirm though that the hose is shorter than the long version of the Crux 3L bladder, which has a 100cm hose. Based on that I'd probably estimate around 60-70cm of hose length. Hope that helps.

Is this compatible with the Deuter Speed Lite 16 Daypack?1 answer
Is the Camelbak 3L Lumbar Hydration Reservoir compatible with the Deuter Speed Lite 16 Daypack?
Kelly - Sydney(3 years ago)
G'day Kelly,
The Speed Lite 16 is only able to take up to a 2L hydration bladder, so this wouldn't be compatible.

Difference between the Lumbar and Reservoir?1 answer
Hi Guys, just wondering which would be better for larger backpacks or what the difference is regarding the Camelbak 3L Lumbar, or the Camelbak 3L Reservoir? Both are available on your site and apart from the shape, are there any differences or benifits for one over the other? Cheers.
Aaron - Cranbourne East, VIC(6 years ago)
Hi Aaron, for regular trekking packs the standard 3L reservoir would be best, it has a long thin shape that suits sleeves or hanging points fount inside most packs. The lumbar reservoir suits specific Camelbak running and daypacks that are designed with a compartment for the lumbar reservoir low down on the pack.
