It all started in 1919 with a few Swedish mates, Baltzar von Platen and Carl Munters, wagging school to prove they could create a cooling effect by using heat! It worked, their time away from the classroom resulted in the worlds first refrigerator. From here their idea was taken up by bigger companies with Electrolux making huge inroads into the camping and road tripping leisure market. 

Today Dometic stands on it's own two feet and is the company behind the Waeco label of portable fridges and freezers, most recently the highly efficient CFX range that we trust to transport our cold food and drinks to every corner of Australia. Their products extend to cater for the needs of camping, RV touring and four wheel drive escapes.
