Sufficient for a 3x3 gazebo?1 answer

I don’t need much light for my gazebos as one already has LED strip lighting built in and the other has nothing. Would one of these be sufficient for a 3x3 gazebo to be used intermittently?

I would say absolutely, yes. We use a single U-Lite Lantern to light a reasonable space under the awning without too much trouble.
Only consideration would be if you were wanting to use the amber light function. This obviously isn't as bright as the white light, so in this case you may need two to efficiently light the space.

Running with plugged into usb1 answer

Hello, I am close to a power source when using these. Can I run this like other lanterns where it is directly plugged in to run indefinitely?

Yes it does operate whilst charging but we dont have the specs of charge/discharge rates or any info to go off wether or not doing this as a standard would effect battery health.
My only question here is, why would want to run it plugged in? These Unilights have insane run times, I think I've charged ours 1-2 times total in the last year, and we use them ALL the time. Compared to other lanterns, they won't be running out even after a week or two of camping, and they have the added advantage of being small and portable - which is lost if they have to be tethered by a cable.

charging indicator1 answer

I've just bought a couple of these but can't see any any indicator when plugged in that the unit is charging/fully charged. Is this correct?

G'day Phillip,

There is an indicator, but its a small red light that flashes on the side, but inside that actually frosted lantern part - just above the charging port.
If it's not coming on, try with a different cable (with the same fitting), or try leaving them on charge for a few hours.

AAA batteries ?1 answer

Does this come with a battery cradle so it can be used with AAA batteries also? Looking for that flexibility of both the rechargeable battery and AAA batteries when recharging not possible.

No, it doesn't, but you might be better off looking at the Unilight Dual Colour Universal LED Lantern as an alternative.
It's AAA powered, however you can get a Unilight Lithium Rechargeable Battery upgrade to use with it.
