Don’t settle for second best, the OZtrail Ensuite Dome comes equipped with all the features you need to create a luxury camp toilet or bush shower.
The powder-coated steel frame is easy to set up and creates near vertical walls and plenty of stability to support your camp shower. Mesh panels provide ventilation and enclose the shelter for insect protection while silver coated walls give total privacy.
Comes complete with a rear shelf, toilet roll holder, removable floor and a waterproof organiser to keep your towel and clothes dry, the OZtrail Standard Ensuite is a sturdy and reliable toilet or shower tent.
Hi, I read that there are waterproof compartments inside this tent, but is the exterior waterproof? Thanks!
G'day Annie,
Oztrail don't market their ensuite tents as being waterproof, and have not completed any waterhead rating tests to show otherwise.
Whilst I'm sure you'd be ok in a light shower or drizzle, it's not guaranteed to keep you dry from external weather.
We have external shower on our caravan and require shower head access at the top.Is access at the top ?
G'day Leanne,
Yes, there is a velcro showerhead access at the top of the ensuite underneath the fly cap.
Is this easily assembled by one person (older)
It is relatively straight forward, Sandra, always easier with a second set of hands though. The main barrier might be the height if you are vertically challenged and need to reach up to make any adjustments or attachments.
There is a trade-off here, the shower tents that are easier to set up are not as stable, this one is a little bit more mucking around to set up but is far more stable.
If I hang the shower outside the tent, is there access for the actual shower rose through the roof?
G'day Lynne,
The Ensuite Dome Shower Tent has a small velcro opening for your shower rose to come through, however, using it with a solar shower might prove to be quite tricky as the hose would have to go down and then back up under the cover.
can The poles support one of the joolca hot tap shower units ?
G'day Alan,
You'll be able to hang the shower rose in the top of the Ensuite Dome Shower Tent, but the tent won't be able to support the weight of the unit itself.
Hi is there provision for ropes to hold it down,to stop it blowing away
G'day Paul,
The Oztrail Ensuite Dome Shower Tent does come supplied with four guy ropes and tabs to connect them to.
If I use the Sea To Summit 10L Pocket Shower on this tent but only filled it with around 3 to 5L of water would it be fine?
G'day Trent,
I wouldn't be too confident in saying that it would work for you, I'm sorry to say. The Oztrail Ensuite Dome Shower Tent really is designed for having just a shower head attached to the top, not having to bear the weight of the water as well. Whilst it might work for you, it will probably damage the framework of your tent.
Okay so I was looking into this shower tent when I realised it can't hold solar showers which was a pain because that's how I like to shower; heat up the water and Pour it into your shower, simple. So I'm stuck with a decision; should I not bother with this tent, or should I invest in a 12v shower? Now believe it or not I'm only 14 and I rely on a Maccas job to get my camping gear so this fact should tell you I'm a budget camper and will only spend a certain amount of money if the specific item is worth my trouble and example would be that I'm willing to spend over $100 on camp kitchen gear including a table and the GSI outdoors gourmet kitchen set because I'm a big foodie. I'm also wondering how the 12v showers work, I think I have a general idea, which is you get a shower head or extension and put the pump in a bucket of water and connect the other end to a power source like a car or a seperate portable 12v power source. So can you suggest a budget 12v shower set? I don't mind heating the water myself I just need the water to be transported to the shower head with a pressure resembling a home shower, I'm also big on hands free showering which is difficult with a solar shower (as a lot of people who have owned one would tell you) and another concern of mine would be where to place or hang up the pressure source, I can't use a car and what if trees in the area are slim? And is this tent suitable for fitting in the extensions of a 12v shower? Thanks for your time in reading my copiously large question
G'day Trent,
If you're looking for a good budget option to go with your Oztrail Ensuite Dome Shower Tent, then I'd recommend the Primus 12V Shower. You can heat the water up over a fire or stove and then drop the end in the bucket and shower over the bucket, recycling the water. That's probably going to be your best budget option.
How does this shower tent compare to the Outhouse shower tent?
G'day Peter,
You can set up the Oztrail Ensuite Dome Shower Tent without the roof if you'd like. As for comparing the two, the Oztrail has slightly more headroom and packs down smaller. The Outhouse has a longer warranty and is 1kg lighter.
i mean as you stand in the tent what is the space you have for your shower? Internal size is what i am after thank you
These are the internal dimensions at the base of the shelter Colin, I just checked this on our display model. Thanks for your question.
Is there an overlap between the tent walls and the removable floor to keep flies and other bugs out?
G'day Gabi,
The floor is detached and while it does align with the walls, I couldn't guarantee that it would keep the flies and other bugs out. Sorry!
Some reports of the fiberglass breaking where the joiners are on the roof poles.
G'day Cornel,
I've just spoken to our Warranties Manager, and he says that he personally hasn't had any customers come back about the roof poles breaking. As long as you take care when you set up and pack down this Ensuite Tent, then you shouldn't have a problem with the poles.
All these shower tents are not strong enough to hang a solar shower. Any suggestions. I'm happy with my solar Great design but.....
G'day Ros,
The only models that would come close is the Outdoor Connection Outhouse Toilet Shower Tent, or the Zempire Pocket Rocket but you would have to guy rope it out to prevent the frame from twisting from the weight of the solar shower so that’s something you should keep in mind.Â
Just wondering what is involved in putting it up and how long it takes? Also time to take down and fit back in the bag.
