When insulation, comfort, and a small and light packed size are essential, the EtherLightXT Extreme Women’s Mat from Sea to Summit will tick all those boxes and more.
This model takes the design of the original bestseller from the brand and increases the warmth while giving it a women’s specific fit for cold weather expeditions. The Air Sprung Cell construction conforms to your body for support, providing 10cm of stable comfort with a quiet and grippy 30/40D nylon face fabric surface. There are dual-density layers of THERMOLITE® insulation that gives it an ASTM R-value of 6.3 for warmth and it features an anti-microbial treatment to prevent mould from growing inside. Inflate, deflate, and adjust without a hassle thanks to the multi-function valve, and get help setting it up using the handy airstream pump sack that’s integrated into the stuff sack.
To keep your existing compatible Sea to Summit pillow from sliding around at night, there’s a PillowLock™ system, and for repairs in the field, there are self-adhesive patches included. We've got all these details on the product page here, Jac. Just select the size you are interested in at the top and refer to "External Dimensions', which are the dimensions when the mat is set up, 'Packed Dimensions' are the mat when packed away. ~ Ben

Selecting a Size1 answer
Hello, I'm 161cm tall and wondering which size would be best (I don't like my feet to overhang the end). I assume the external dimensions are measured when the mat is deflated? If so, does the mat length decrease much when it is fully inflated?
Jess - Brisbane, QLD(1 year ago)
G'day Jess,
The external dimensions are taken when the product is in use. If you want a mat where your feet will be fully supported, I would choose a mat that is longer than 161cm. The regular size in the Etherlight womens specific mats are 168cm, which should be fine. If you don't mind the larger pack size and a little extra weight, you could upgrade to the large if you feel that would be a better option. A good way to determine this is to climb into your sleeping bag with your pillow on the loungeroom floor, and get a friend or family member to mark where you feel like you'd want your mattress head and foot to be, then measure that distance as a guide. Or, alternatively, use the size of your current mat for reference. Hope that helps.

Suitable for summer?1 answer
Would this be ok for warmer months as well or is it only suitable for winter?
Cath - ACT(2 years ago)
G'day Cath,
Yes, absolutely. The mattress itself doesn't generate any warmth, it just acts as an insulative barrier between you and the ground. Its purpose is to prevent any temperature transfer from the ground, and vice versa. So in summer, it can be beneficial for insulating you from warm ground. As long as your sleeping bag, etc is appropriate for the temps you'll be in, you'll be fine.
