Use without hose possible?1 answer
Can I use this bladder without the hose attachment? I don’t want to hang it, I’d like to leave it on our camp kitchen table and just pour water when I need it. Or is there something different you could recommend? Also can I check there is no chemical taste with these like the sea to summit ones? Thanks

G'day Sandra,
You can use this without the hose and sit this on your camp kitchen table, you would just have to unscrew the cap each time to pour water. We haven't heard of anyone having a chemical taste with this one and always good to give it a wash before using, Raspberry Cordial and filtered water seems to be the best option to get rid of plastic tastes if they do occur. Other than this, some similar options would be the MSR Dromedary and the Sea to Summit Watercells.

Hose attachment1 answer
Hi, if you have it hanging upside down, can you pop the cap out of the lid to fit the hose attachment without losing water? Does it have a check valve in there so you can swap between cap and hose without losing water? Cheers
Marc - Kenthurst, NSW(8 months ago)
G'day Marc,
Yes, the Plug & Play system across all Hydrapak water reservoirs has a check valve that automatically seala for leak-proof removal of the hose. Hope that helps.
