Hi, does the 365cm spreader come in 2 pieces or 3 pieces? Just doing the maths of the packed length which is 140cm long so not sure how many pieces, assuming 2 pieces with 1 inner sheath 19mm and the 1 outer sheath of 22mm?

The 365cm comes in 3 pieces. When you select that size you should see the first image change - 2 pieces telescopic together and the 3rd attaches separately.

Diameter of pole1 answer
Just a little confused as to the diameter of the pole. We want to modify it to put a U plug at one end. These plugs come in 19mm and 22.2mm. Which size plug should we purchase please?

There are two pole diameters for spreader poles in order for one to fit inside the other, so you'd need a different diameter depending on which end you want to put the plug on i.e. 22.2mm for outer sheath, 19mm for inner sheath.

I'm not aware of any I'm sorry, thats more of a custom style pole. I would recommend contacting you Camper Trailer manufacturer first, otherwise you may be able to make one up yourself using an existing spreader and replacing the end inserts. Tarp setup1 answer
So I was thinking of a car awning but I think a tarp might work better. I am planning on sleeping in the rav4 and using something outside for shade/shelter for cooking/eating. I was thinking of a 3x3 tarp. What will I need to go with it? I want versatility. Sometimes I will attach it to the car (rear/side), and sometimes free standing. I will need to be able to drop a side for rain protection. Can you give me an equipment list?

There isn't really an exact package of items you'll need for a tarp shelter, it comes down to personal preference and how you'd like to set it up, but generally, at a minimum, you'd need the tarp, plus 1-2 spreader bars, and 4-6 upright adjustable poles, and 4-6 guy ropes and pegs to secure these.

Thanks for getting in touch, we've had a few people ask about doing this over the years and generally, you'll need a lot of poles and a bit of ingenuity to make this type of set up work. The Spread on the T-Nut Spreader Poles won't quite be long enough in either orientation but you could use a few between each eyelet to make it work.

Hey Snowys.
So if I want to span the width of a 3.65m kookaburra tarp will the 3.65m spreader do the job?
I wondered if because it was at its maximum extension it would be fairly unstable in the centre?
If so what would you recommend to do the job? I had thought of using a spreader supported in the centre with a c-clip pole (if needed).

You will see a reasonable amount of flex in the 3.65m pole once it's fully extended and I think you're onto a winning idea with the support pole using a c-clip on top of a spreader pole. It'd probably be ok under normal conditions but add the weight of some water pooling and you might be in trouble.
