Hi, We’ve found big patches of mould on the inside of the tent, how would we go about cleaning it?

Windbreaks1 answer
Hi there, Does the 12P come with removable windbreaks on the full 3-side awning - same as 10P?
Cass - Adelaide, SA (1 year ago)
G'day Cass,
I'm not 100% sure what you mean by windbreaks sorry - I assume you are referring to side walls?
The 10P is the only model with the 3-section full side awning. The 12P only has the front annexed room, which has the option for a small awning without sides.
Even though the back of the 12P looks the same as the front of the 10P, Oztrail have confirmed the back of the 12P cannot be used as a 3-section full side awning.

Tent lining - mesh?1 answer
Hi, on one of the videos it looks like the roof of the tent is mesh in all of the rooms - part from a small section of lining around the edges. Can you confirm this for me? If so, what impact do you think this would have on condensation build-up, warmth etc. I notice that the Coleman NorthStar 10 has mesh in the centre room only and am wondering about this difference.
Pete - Angledale, NSW (1 year ago)
G'day Pete,
Yes, thats correct. Ventilation is one of the largest factors when it comes to condensation control, so the mesh roof in conjunction with some open windows, etc ultimately helps reduce the chances of significant condensation issues. A tent realistically is not going to keep you warm, especially a synthetic-based one, as they have very little insulative function. Whether or not the tent's inner roof is made from mesh or thin polyester fabric, it will have very little impact on overall temperatures. As long as you have adequate bedding for the temperature you are expecting to experience, you'll sleep warm, and shouldn't have too much trouble with condensation.

Power pack compatibility 1 answer
What size power pack do you recommend and how many watts does the lighting system require?
Andrew - Mornington, VIC(1 year ago)
G'day Andrew,
There's no specific USB power pack for these tents, any brand or size will do the trick. These lights use roughly 1Ah, so 1000mAh is small power pack talk. If you're looking at a 10,000mAh pack, that will run the lights for around 10hrs as an example. You can find our range of portable power packs here, they're all great options, whichever one you go with will come down to size (as above) and personal preference.

What would you buy?! 1 answer
If you had to pick between the Coleman black out 10p or the Oztrail Blockout 12 both worth the lighting what would you pick and why?!
Kylie - Bentleigh (3 years ago)
G'day Kylie,
Firstly, these are both great tents, but they are a little different in terms of size. The Lumos 12 is a great option if you're wanting an extra room for gear, or to sleep an extra kids/friends that come along. The Coleman Tent is a little smaller with just 3 rooms, but the lighting system is a little better and is in all of the rooms, rather than just the central room in the Oztrail tent. Overall they have similar features and materials, so it will most likely come down to size. Personally, I'd choose the Coleman for the extra lights.

Entry into tent & other questions!1 answer
Is the centre area the only entry point or can you enter/exit through the side rooms? How does the lighting in this compare to the Coleman darkroom. The oztrail reports heat reduction of up to 10 degrees and darkroom says 5 degrees. Why the discrepancy? Do you find either to be accurate?
Michelle - Sydney(3 years ago)
G'day Michelle,
You can enter the tent from the front, the rear, and the side rooms. The lighting is somewhat similar to the Coleman tents, but in the Oztrail t is only in the central room. Unfortunately, the suppliers don't indicate how hey come up with their 5 degree / 10 degree heat reduction, so it's hard to know how accurate either of them. The Coleman has been on the market for a number of years, and while we haven't done a full-scale test, they definitely stay cooler than an average tent. Once the Oztrail has been on the market over the summer, and we're able to film some videos we might be able to gather more information for you.

Suitable gazebo for this tent1 answer
Hi, can you recommend a gazebo that would best suit the configuration of this tent please.
Renee Lotter - Brisbane(3 years ago)
G'day Renee,
I'm not 100% confident I understand your question here? If you're looking for some extra undercover space then the Oztrail Deluxe Gazebos are a great option and can be set up near your tent. They come in a few different size options, 2.4m, 3.0m, 4.5m and 6.0m.

Using rear as main entry?1 answer
Is the rear opening on this tent the same size as the front and can be used as an awning too? So for a family of 6, could you use the main central room as an entry, and then have a bedroom for two people in each of the rooms?
Alex - Australind(3 years ago)
G'day Alex,
Theoretically, you could do this, however, the room at the front only has mesh internally, so it wouldn't really suit as a bedroom in the winter months. You could open up the rear door cover as an awning, that would work ok, but the bedroom configuration might not work depending on the season.
