It may not be the lightest (not far off though), but the 360 Degrees Furno Stove would have to be the best value stove on the market.
Three folding arms provide stable support for pots up to 20cm diameter and enable compact stowage in a pack. Its stainless steel and alloy body features a folding heat adjustment knob and provides durable lightweight performance.
can you use this in concert with the gasmate butane adapter (https://www.snowys.com.au/butane-cartridge-adaptor) and the associated butane cannisters
G'day Jason,
Yes you can use this adaptor with any hiking stove that has a Lindal valve attachment.
The hiking gas canisters designed to go with hiking stoves do have a different fuel blend to the straight Butane cartridges, so bare in mind that you may get varied performance with this set up.
Hope that helps.
Can this be connected to the (Companion Pro:Fuel Butane Gas 230g) or do i need something to connect it to?
G'day Allan,
Yes, they can be connected directly to the Pro:Fuel Butane Gas 230g canisters. They will fit any butane canister with a Lindal valve on it.
Can i combine this with a gasmate butane cartridge adaptor?
G'day Alistair,
Yes, the Butane Cartridge Adapter is compatible with all Lindal Vale stoves.
Do I need to use a stabilizer on the largest cannister?
G'day Jess,
Stabilisers are super handy to have in your kit, even though there will be times when you don't need it but it's great to have as a fail safe.
If you are going to be using larger pots or pans of cooking a lot of food which means your stove will be top heavy, in which case we definitely recommend it.
Will a pot with a base diameter of 8 cm be too small to use on this stove? Also, if I purchase and use the Gasmate Butane Appliance Adaptor that you sell, will this stove be fine to use with any of the different 220g butane canisters that are cheaper and much easier to actually find?
Hi John, an 8cm bot is small but will still work fine on this stove as the burner head is roughly 3 cm in diameter.
As for the adapter, this will work, but you'll find that the butane gas alone doesn't perform very well in cold environments, this is where the isobutane/propane mix comes into play. So if you want to use it primarily in summer then you won't have a problem.
I thought the threaded canisters are relatively easy to find though, any camping or hardware store that sells the butane cartridge canisters is also likely to have the threaded isobutane/propane canisters.
Hi, do you know if this will work well with the Trangia Mess Food Tin (Large)? The food tin size is 200 mm x 130 mm x 70 mm (280g) and I'm just wondering if it'll stay stable on this stove and it's not too big? thanks.
G'day Min,
Unfortunately, it's hard for us to know as we don't sell the Mess Tin, however purely based on the size you should be able to use the mess tin on top of the furno stove. As to whether you can cook in/on the mess tin would be a question for the retailer you purchased the item from, or Trangia themselves.
Assuming instructions and safety note have been removed - cheers!
Yep, fits easily, Hamish.
Is there an adaptor fitting that fits the stove so that a small primus gas bottle can be used?
G'day Neil,
Unfortunately, there's no adaptor available that can connect the 360 Degrees Furno Stove to a different gas bottle.
Hey guys, I find this to be a great hiking stove and pot set...just curious to know if you have had any issues with the flame stabiliser / wind break tri-piece falling off the stoves?? I used mine for about a week (9 or 10 times) and the tri-piece broke off. No real issue, just wondering if it may be a fault or rough batch. Cheers Mark
G'day Mark,
This isn't an issue we've heard of with the 360 Degrees Furno Stoves, no. We're happy to help you pursue a warranty claim if you'd like. Just flick us an email to service@snowys.com.au and we'll take it up for you.
If screw top canisters are refilled with 100% butane, will this stove operate safely?
G'day Brody,
To get a safe answer to your question on whether the use of 100% butane is possible, you will need to speak with a gas professional who can advise on your question.
From our experience, we wouldn't recommend refilling gas canisters due to the risks and dangers involved.
I'd like to purchase the burner with the larger pot set but still want the canister stabilise.
G'day Paul,Â
I've just checked this out for you, and the 360 Degrees Furno Stove does not come with a stabliser included.
It doesn't seem to be available to purchase separately, so as far as I can find you can only get it with the 360 Degrees Furno Stove and Pot Set.Â
Thanks, ;) noworries just found the JetBoil Fuel Can Stabilizer on your site for $9.50? Should do the trick.
The JetBoil Fuel Can Stabliser sounds like a perfect option to complete your set up Paul!Â
how much butane/propane does it hold? Need it to last 5 kids for 3 days
I've seen earlier that this stove should only be used with an 80% Butane - 20% Propane, canister. What would happen if used with a 75% Iso-Butane - 25% Propane? Thank you
