This Steel ridge rail is good for lengths between 420cm - 550cm, so its not going to work for you. Sounds like the Supa Peg Eye to Eye T-Nut Spreader Poles in the 365cm length will be a suitable alternative.

I’m using a 7.5 x 5.5m tarp over my Blackwoof twin 300. I don’t use a ridge rail currently but am looking to sure things up a little. Because of the ‘T’ shape of my tent I can’t use a ridge support pole. Can you check how sturdy/how much flex this has at full extension? Thanks

The maximum extension is 580cm, but at this length, there is a lot of flex. It is a lot stronger at 550cm.

Can I swap out the nylon insert for a C clip?1 answer
My tent, Kodiak 10x14, already has a galvanised pole across its roof. I want to attach a 3.5m or longer spreader bar from the tent roof pole via C clip to a spigot to make a larger awning for my tent. I already tried combining the 3.65m eye to eye and 3.05m C clip poles into a single C clip to eye pole but it's a bit too short.

The Galvanised Steel Ridge Rails are square, so, unfortunately, you won't be able to replace the nylon inserts with C-Clips as these are designed to fit round poles.

If I want to span a 3.65m tarp width with one of these, would this be a sturdier option than a spreader pole, meaning I could then get away without a centre c-clip support pole?
Was thinking of 2 c-clip supported spreader poles on either end of a tarp set up, but one of these in the centre to remove the need for the centre c-clip support?

Reading this I was initially thinking 'yep, that'll work' but I've done a bit of reading and Supa Peg on their website do still recommend you should use a support pole. But it's just a recommendation and you're not planning on using the pole at its full extension, so you should be ok. I'd still suggest having a support pole on hand in case it rains and the tarp gets heavier, just in case.
