The BlackWolf Grasshopper UL 2 provides the stability of a dome tent and the headream of a dream tent.
With an innovative pole configuration, and two convenient entrances with vestibules - this tents boasts features that set it apart from other 3-season, 2-person tents. The nylon ripstop fly, nylon PU floor and heat-taped seams ensure water repellency in bad weather. There is excellent airflow through ventilation from the mesh inner, plus extra vents in the fly. Pitching is easy, as the poles and pole end webbing and clips are colour coded, while cord lock peg points offer flexibility when setting up. Plus, a teardrop-shaped door with all-round zips on either side make access easy.
Storage wise, the dual-side vestibules are invaluable for stashing your boots, pack, and even wet or muddy gear out of your sleeping space. The reflective strips have the tent easily identified at night, while the ecologically friendly green shade blends beautifully in with the environment during the day.
Great for the adventurous couple or solo hiker who likes a little extra room - rely on the Grasshopper Ultralight 2 from BlackWolf for shelter.

Spare poles?1 answer
Hi, I bought this tent last year and it was excellent, handled several months of consecutive bikepack camping brilliantly. Eventually and unsurprisingly a pole split. I was able to dyi it to be usable but ideally it would get a few new pole segments or even a full new set. The rest of it is impressively good as new still. Do you sell spare poles for this?
Andrew - Evanston Park, SA(2 weeks ago)
G'day Andrew,
We currently don't stock spares for this tent though Black Wolf stocks a repair kit called a Tent Replacement Pole Kit. This includes 3 x Aluminium pole sections to repair part of the tent poles, not a full set but this would be the best option.

Footprint & Vents?1 answer
Hi team, is there a footprint available for this tent? If not is there a suggested footprint to use? Also, I can only see one vent on the flysheet, is there a second one on the other side?
Carmen - Moonee Ponds, VIC(1 month ago)
G'day Carmen,
There are two vents on this tent, but there's no footprint available. I am aware of a hiker who has used their Grasshopper UL 2 for 18 months on regular trips, largely setting up on granite rock with no issue...it shouldn't be too bad without a footprint, but if you want to add one to your kit there's nothing that will fit exactly, but the Zempire Zeus, or MSR Universal with be the closest options

Free Standing1 answer
Hi there, just wondering if this is a free standing tent?
Keanu - Leichhardt, NSW(4 months ago)
G'day Keanu,
Yep, it is - generally dome style hiking tents are free standing, meaning they can be set up without needing pegs and guy ropes. The only consideration is to have functioning vestibules, you'd need to use a rock (or similar if pegs are not an option), to tension those out. If not you can still absolutely use the tent. Hope that helps.

Tent bag1 answer
Hi, just wondering if the tent bag on this tent is waterproof? Thanks
Jeff - Murrumbeena, VIC(8 months ago)
G'day Jeff,
The storage back fabric is water resistant, but the bag itself isn't waterproofed - eg. not seam sealing and the bag opening is a pull chord. You'd probably be ok in light showers, but in anything prolonged or heavier you'd probably want to use a fully waterproof dry sack.
