Use with a gasification stove?1 answer
Hi guys, wondering if you know if you could possibly use this item with a gasification stove (such as the silverfire scout or solo stove) to disperse the heat for a bigger pan? Or would it not be suitable for this purpose?

We've not tried it out with a gasifier stove, so can't comment on performance, but I can't see any reasons why you couldn't use it - just pop it on the top, and away you go.

I've tried this out for you mate, but I couldn't fire the stove up sorry. We've had to dis-assemble our shop here this week for roofing repairs and I just can't access everything right now. The diffuser fits quite nicely on the burners of the Fyreknight stove and would work reasonably well I suspect. I have a feeling it's not going to sit really with the griddle though as the handle sticks out the side at an upward angle and I think it'll cause the griddle to not sit straight.

Thats a great question and one I've had to research. Whilst Ozpig doesn't note this as a function, I have found references of people using similar diffusers over a gas flame to toast tortillas. So yes, it seems it could be used as a toaster!
