Originally called the Trekker, these socks are made from a blend of new wool, merino wool, nylon, Endurofil, and lycra which provides durability, moisture-wicking and insulation. You’ll be comfy even after long days of walking as these socks have zonal padding for support and cushioning. Designed to give you a close fit so they don’t slip down or bunch up, these socks also have an elasticated arch to keep them in place and a flat toe seam to prevent irritation in the toe box.

They’re also made to retain their size and shape after washing, so they’re easy to keep in good nick. The Hike Midweight Boot Merino Performance Socks from Bridgedale are perfect for multi-day expeditions all year round.

Woollen stocks are renowned to be non odour after long treks. How do these perform

G'day Frank,

I can give my personal testimonial here! These socks are so good, I now own too many pairs to mention - in various colours and weights. Of course, everyone's feet are different, but in general, myself and other staff have worn them on long hikes in the tropics, desert and the cold in Tassie and haven't noticed any major offensive odours. We tend to take two pairs one for hiking and one for nighttime wear and hang the hiking pair inside out at night to air them. We think they perform brilliantly!
