With the lightweight Hubba Hubba 2-Person Hiking Tent by MSR, tackle the switchback without backtracking on durability.
Symmetrical in design with a non-tapered floor – this tent offers room to move, boasting impressive headroom within your outdoor bedroom. With taped seams and a Durashield™ coating for weather and tear resistance, the rainfly also features built-in gutters on the vestibule doors to promote run-off in the wetter weather. Kickstand vents also work in parting segments of the fly’s fabric to allow further ventilation. Greet every misty morning with one hand through the zippered door, closing to a single point for easy locating every time.
Flip back the removable rainfly to soak in summit scenes from peachy skies to pale morning haze. The inner is a washed-out grey to promote neutral, natural lighting – bringing a rustic magic to your setup. Poles of superior aerospace composite materials - ballistic-fiber, carbon, and resin - are strong enough to defy the windy conditions and wild outdoor dynamics with exceptional strength, lightweightedness, and resilience. Stay grounded at your campsite in the clouds, owing to lightweight and reflective guy points and robust stake-out loops for security at the summit. A unified hub-and-pole system also enables a quick setup and faster pack down – so you can slow down and soak in the high moments.

Hi can the hubby hubby 2 do a fly only setup? Does it come with a footprint (groundsheet) if not is one available?
Nigel - Schofields, NSW(2 weeks ago)
G'day Nigel,
Because of the way the poles are set up the Hubba Hubba can't do a fly-only setup. The Hubba Hubba doesn't come with a footprint but there is one available separately called the MSR Universal 2P Footprint.

setup/dismantle1 answer
will you be doing a setup and pull down video on this tent in the near future?
Ian - Salisbury, adelaide(1 month ago)
G'day Ian.
We will add it to the list. There is a video from the MSR site you can view here that will give you a pretty good understanding of the set up / pack down process.

Hubba Hubba 1 answer
Hi. Is this the NX2 model?
Kevin - Sydney, NSW(3 months ago)
G'day Kevin,
The NX2 is the previous model of this tent, the Hubba Hubba we have on the website is the current model. The MSR website defaults to the European page which doesn't have these new models yet, on the USA website it does show these as the latest model.

Poles1 answer
Have you had any reported issues with pole breakages?
Connor - NSW(7 months ago)
G'day Connor,
Pole issues with the Hubba Hubba are virtually unheard of. The main issues are with the fly, and people packing the tent compressed for extended periods or time, or not fully dry. Best practice is keeping the tent fly in a large mesh stuff sack between uses.

Mar HH21 answer
Is this tent (Mar HH 2 available with a grey rain cover
Peter - Hazelwood South, VIC (1 year ago)
G'day Peter,
Unfortunately not. The grey/silver model is the old 2020 version, all new 2022 Hubba Hubba Models have the khaki-ish type fly. You may be able to find some of the previous 2020 version in stock with some retailers, its called the Hubba Hubba NX. Hope that helps.

MSR Hubba Hubba 2P1 answer
I’ve noticed the new version of the MSR Hubba Hubba 2p only has 20D for its floor specs and not 30D like the older version, is this correct?
Lucy - Mcdowall, QLD(1 year ago)
G'day Lucy,
Yep, thats correct. Deniers can be abit misleading, as that's only one small element of fabric specifications - essentially just relates to the density of the individual fiber & doesnt cover thread counts or gsm. MSR have explained that the previous models floor material couldn't be seam sealed, so the current version has had a floor overhaul to a slightly different fabric that does come seam sealed - there shouldn't be any difference with long term performance.

MSR Hubba Hubba 2 person1 answer
Are the pole segments shortened for cycle touring.
Ian - East Maitland, NSW (1 year ago)
G'day Ian,
The packed length of 46cm is essentially the shortest size of the collapsed frame. It's not uncommon for cycle tourers to pack the poles seperately to make it all work easier. If theres any further we can help with or check out for you, just let us know!
