This fuel is comprised of a 80/20 blend of isobutane and propane with the purest isobutane of any canister stove fuel on the market. This clean-burning blend ensures that it performs better in colder temperatures and has a consistent output over the lifespan of the canister. It comes in a 227g size and a 110g size, with the latter fitting inside the separately available 1L MSR Reactor or WindBurner Stove Systems for more convenience.

Staff tip:Butane stops vaporising at −0.5°C (its boiling point) and Isobutane continues vaporising down to −11.6°C. Depending on the blend of the fuel you are using, you may experience different levels of performance at low temperatures. For use in alpine conditions or cold temperatures, consider using a liquid fuel stove.

Fuel canister Recycling 1 answer
Hi Snowys, Are you a recycling point for empty fuel canisters ? And if not, do you know where they can be recycled in SA?

No, we're not. You can take them to any recyling centre that takes gas bottles, or the best solution in my opinion is to pick up a Jetboil Crunch-It. It punctures the cans and allows you to put them in your kerbside recycling bin.
