can the cutlery roll have clips to roll up separately?

The cutlery roll is designed to roll up and pack into the bottom largest pocket on the main kitchen sling. It doesn't have its own clips, but you can easily pick up 1 or 2 small straps to hold it together separately if you prefer.

You probably could, but it wouldn't be very secure & would be a bit chunky. It'd be ok if you're packing up and moving every few days, like popping in the back of your car, etc but I'm not sure if you'd want it stored away like that between trips. It'd just be a matter of giving it a go and seeing if it works for you though.
