Legacy Lite v Khumba?1 answer
Hi, can you please provide a summary of the difference between these 2 models. Which is the most recent, do they suit different terrains, weight/ height of hikers etc
Rick - Blue Mountains, NSW(12 months ago)
G'day Rick,
They're essentially the same pole, made of the same materials, the same pack size & in use lengths. There are 2 differences - the handle shape, and the "anti shock system" in the Legacy poles. Basically, the antishock system works as a shock absorber, so this is pitched towards people of longer multiday hikes that will be using their poles in long stints. The Khumbu pole grip is designed more for faster-paced hikes. Having said that, they are largely fairy interchangeable. You could use either pole for any kind of hiking endeavor. If your primary focus in hiking is longer multiday trips, etc the Legacy would have the advantage.
