Its not, as it's designed purely as a sun shelter.  You'd probably be ok in some light rain or a passing shower, but nothing more than that.

Whilst I dont have this specific shelter, I have another brand that is similar and has exactly the same fabric.
I've had it for almost 11 years now and have only recently started thinking about possibly replacing it.
As long as you store it somewhere dry between trips, there's no reason why it cant have a long life!

You should be able to fit two camping style chairs under this shelter however you might have to angle yourselves a little to do so. They're really designed for use with the lower beach style chairs, so if you're up on higher chairs you might find it hard to follow the shade, and still get a view of the water.

The toggles, or rope runners, on these are a slightly different shape than most that I suspect is designed to make them easier to grab and move. Other than that they work the same as the standard old rope runners you see on guy ropes for tents. They'll hold tight just fine as they are designed to 'lock' onto the rope.

We can't get our hands on specific spares for these but you could grab the Oztrail Awning Pole Set, the Oztent Alloy Telescopic Spreader Pole and a few spare guy ropes. The only catch would be the spreader pole is a bit too long at 140cm minimum length, so about 60cm longer than the rest of the kit when it's packed away.

I've just double checked the Long Reef Beach Shade and although there is no specifications listed for the eyelet type they appear to be stainless steel. The cloth size is 330cm L x 180cm W.

This beach shade is made of Polyester. I've checked the packaging and it states a rating of UPF 50+, so you'll be well protected from the sun under this one!
