Light up your campsite without the need for disposable batteries with the Medium Lantern from Gasmate.
This model is designed to be tough as it’s made from heat resistant frosted glass with an epoxy powder coated hood and a chrome plated steel frame. It’s also got a camping valve connection 3/8” BSP-LH fitting making it super convenient to connect to a gas bottle for use. This lantern also has an adjustable dimmer for controlling the output of light and a multi-purpose carry handle so you can hang it up where you need it.
When you’re away from the grid in the bush, the Medium Lantern from Gasmate is the efficient and effective lighting solution.
What is the average/expected burn time from the mantle before it needs replacing?
G'day Simon,
This is a tricky question as there are many factors that can affect a mantle. You could get one that lasts a few hours or one that might last a few years! Unfortunately there is no definite answer.
Is this lantern suitable to use with a disposable Coleman 453g propane cylinder and does it require an adaptor to connect?
G'day Marcus,
Unfortunately not, the lantern won't be stable without the wide base of support that an LPG bottle provides. You could use the UNEF to 3/8" BSP Adapter, however, it's not something we're overly comfortable recommending.
Can you run this Lantern with butane Gas
G'day Anthony,
The Medium Lantern is designed for use with an LPG cylinder so you're not able to use it with butane gas.
do you manually light it from the bottom
G'day Malik,
Yes
Or could it be fixed directly in the gas cylinder.
G'day Malik,
You don't need a lantern pole for the Gasmate Medium Lantern, you can fix them directly to the top of a 3/8" BSP Gas Cylinder.
Is a pole necessary, or will it work fine without with a smaller gas bottle sitting on a table?
G'day Connor,
The lantern does not need to be hung, it can attach to any 3/8" gas bottle and used as best suits your needs.
Can you do a deal for two medium-sized lanterns with 2kg gas bottles and one pack of two medium mantles (with two regulators - if needed), delivered free to Adelaide metro?
