These mats currently don't have any other accessories such as a fitted sheet or comforter. I would usually suggest finding something similar in size.

There is the OZtrail Easy Fold Single Stretcher, Zempire Z Leg King Single Stretcher and Oztent King Goanna Stretcher Series II these all will fit this mat and have a weight rating of 150kg . They are all easy to set up and the OZtrail packs up the smallest out of the lot.

Zempire recommends cleaning your mat with mild soap and warm water using a damp cloth. Be sure to close the valve when cleaning to avoid getting any water into the mat. Let the mat air dry thoroughly.

We wouldn't recommend hosing it down, as yes it could cause water and mould damage. For best performance, store the mat flat with the valve open. This will also allow any moisture trapped in the interior to escape. If your mat must be stored in a rolled state, inflate the mat as frequently as is reasonable to prevent the foam from developing a compressed state “memory”.

The Monstamat has a 30D Super Stretch Ripstop Top, it is a durable and stretchy fabric, so you shouldn't have too many issues with a small dog walking on it. It could be worth popping a mattress cover on for extra protection against punctures and tears.

You could use this pump if you wanted to but, it is designed as a manual pump for their air tents, so you'd just need to make sure your pumping carefully and not over inflating the mat.

If you watch the features video we have online, at the 11:10 minute mark you can see Ben putting in a stretcher that is one of the larger options we have in our range.
The Monstamat Single size will be compatible with pretty much our whole range of stretchers, which you can find here.
As the mattress and RV-5 don't limit your choices, you'd probably be looking at choosing a stretcher based on your budget and visual preference.
The Oztent & Oztrail brands are probably the most popular in terms of stretcher choices.

In terms of physical effects to the mat, the cabin is pressurised so it'd be the same as chucking it in the boot.
With regards to whether or not you can actually take it as carry on, that'd be a question for the airline - not something we can answer sorry.

The Darche Ranger solo swag is not tapered, and it houses a mattress that is approximately 45cm wide, with a sleeping space of around 50cm.
If you wanted to go with a wider mattress it would just curl up on the sides abit & you wouldnt be able to pack the swag up all together as one.

You theoretically could keep these stores in your van, however, over time this will lead to a shorter life span. It is best practice to keep gear like this stored at a consistent temperature, as constant exposure to high temperatures, or temperature fluctuations can lead to delamination and a few other issues. It's not something I'd recommend doing, but if you did leave them in there, then leaving the valve open will reduce the likelihood of the temperature causing issues.

What they are talking about is purchasing 2 separate mattresses, and using a mat coupling kit to join them together.
Two people cannot use one mat, as it is too narrow.

There is a Single and a King Single Speedy Stretcher, and both options will be fine.
As you've stated, the single stretcher has slightly smaller dimensions, but this will not affect performance or comfort.

Yes, you can leave the valve open on the Zempire Monstamat without damage.  As it is a self-inflating mat it won't be able to inflate beyond capacity.

Yes, you could replace your swag mattress with the Monstamat, as long as you've got the space in your swag. They will deflate pretty quickly with the valve in deflate mode, so we'd recommend flipping the valve to deflate, folding your swag in half to push out as much air as you can, and then start rolling up your swag with the mattress valve pointed away from you.

You probable could if you really wanted to, but it would make it quite tricky to roll up. You'd also end up with a packed diameter of close to 50cm and in my opinion, would make it more difficult to store.

You can use two Monstamat Singles on top of the Oztrail Easy Fold Queen Stretcher, however, the Bomberpad 3D Camp Mattress is a slightly better fit. The slightly narrower fit stops the edges from curving up too much.

I've just given Zempire a buzz as we don't actually sell the Thermo mats. Unfortunately, they said that no the Thermo mat has a different size valve to the Monstamat, so it won't fit.

We tend to find that lots of people will go for two single mats, as this will give greater flexibility if you do camp solo sometimes. Overall you'll get a larger sleeping area with the two mats than the double version, so it's really up to personal preference.

Based on experience and customer feedback most people tend to completely remove their foam mattress and just use the self-inflating mat as it will give your swag a smaller, tighter roll and make it more compact for transport.

Unfortunately, we're not able to get replacement bags and straps for the Zempire Monstmats, but I'd probably suggest some Voile straps to keep it secured.

The Zempire Monstamat has a dual inflate deflate valve that makes packing away the mattress really easy!  Im sure you wouldnt have too much trouble with the Twin as a solo traveller, and will probably be alot more comfortable without the seam between 2 singles.  Hope that helps!

You're right, in theory the dimensions suggest it should fit!  The tricky part is that the Speedy pop up tent series have oval footprints, so whilst the mattress dimensions work at the widest points, the tent floor curves around cuts off the corners of the mattress.  So whilst it would work the mattress corners and tent edge does end up being abit squished.

Yep, you absolutely can, and the EXPED Universal Mat Coupler would be perfect for the job!

You definately can store the Monstamat rolled up, and actually also the Exped mats.  They are both 'bonded' which means the foam is attached to the external fabrics, which reduces compression issues whilst in storage.  We do recommend pulling it out and inflating it every couple of months if its a long time between use.

I've just tried this out for you and the valve on the Monstamat is rather large, so you could push some extra air into these using the Zempire 2 Way Pump, but you'd need to be holding the pump up against the valve.

The flippable one way valve certainly makes life easier when packing up this mat! Rolling up the Monstamat is definately easier than some of the other self inflating mats on the marker.

Despite this though, the mat has a surprsingly dense construction. I would recommend roughly rolling or folding the mat first off to push as much air out with your body weight, this is probably the most of the effort required. After that, open the mat back out and roll up from there, much much easier to do when the mat is deflated!

These are pretty well-made beds but I just couldn't promise that it'll survive the kids jumping on it while it's inflated. My advice would be to pop the valve open while the bed isn't being slept on and that way you'll have no problems at all.

These will be much warmer than a traditional airbed as they're filled with an insulating foam rather than cold air. They get an insulation R-value of 9.5 which is really high. You can read a bit more about what R-values mean in our blog here.

Two of the Zempire Monstamat Singles will work together side by side but may move apart overnight. You could use a Universal Mat Coupler Kit if you wanted to make sure they don't move too much.

The Zempire Monstmat Single Camp Mat and the Sea to Summit Comfort DLX SI Sleeping Mat RW have some similarities in design and features. I've had a lie on both of these mats and they have a pretty similar to be honest, so they should both end up with a similar level of firmness once they've had time to self-inflate.

I can absolutely understand your hesitation on not wanting to get another dud! For what it's worth, I own a Zempire Monstamat and it's been nothing but amazing for me! It's probably the one I'd recommend when people come asking for advice on the best mattress to get. I reckon it's on par with the more expensive options at a fraction of the cost.

I actually own the Zempire Monstamat Single Camp Mat and whilst the bottom can get a little dirty, it does wipe off relatively easily and staining is pretty minimal. Even if you do get a couple of stains, you don't see them as it's the bottom of the mattress. This is the only colour variety that these mattresses come in.

The Zempire Monstamat Single Camp Mat is suitable for summer use, but it may be a little warmer than an airbed depending on the air temperature. If you sleep on it with a summer weight sleeping bag or sheet you should be fine!

You shouldn't do any damage at all to the Zempire Megamat Single Camp Mat by storing it rolled up and it will definitely be easier to keep clean if you store it rolled up.

We've noticed that a few people have said they lose a little bit of air, it's not something I can confirm personally as I haven't spent the night on one. One thing we did think of is perhaps spinning the little non-return valve around inside the main plug might help to slow that down. As far as I know, we haven't had any warranty issue with these mats since we began selling them. Like a lot of the Zempire range, I think they represent great value at a reasonable price point compared to some of the more expensive offerings available.

Sorry, it's a difficult one to explain but the plug has a little non-return valve inside it that can be rotated to stop air moving in a particular direction. See the image below. By rotating it after inflating you're just giving yourself an extra barrier to keep the air trapped in the mat. From what I've read in peoples reviews I wouldn't say the mats are leaking to a point that it is a problem at all, there are just a few comments in there that suggest they don't hold air quite as well as the Exped Megamats. They've been very popular since we got them in and as I said we haven't seen any problems with them, so I'm more than happy to recommend them as a great alternative to some of the other more expensive options we have.

I apologise for the delay in answering your question. Oztrail have two stretcher tent models - the Easy Fold, and the Ultimate All Weather Stretcher, and the dimensions of the Zempire Megamat are 198 x 68.

The Easy Fold is going to be too small for the Zempire Megamat, as it's 190L and 80W, but the Ultimate All Weather Stretcher is 220 x 90 so there should be plenty of room for the Zempire Megamat.

Just to clarify everyone, apologies for this but I was just going by the measurements, my colleague kindly tried this out in person - and the Zempire Megamat does indeed fit in the Easy Fold Stretcher Tent. 

It's hard to answer this one Jez, realistically, both mats need air in order to be comfortable, and both will flatten just as much as the other under an individuals weight without having been inflated. As for the amount of filling, both are 10cm thick and have cored foam between the top and bottom layers. I think the weight of the mat is the best way to judge the volume of foam used, and the Zempire weighs in the heaviest, which likely means it has slightly more foam than the Exped. There isn't an official weight limit on the Zempire Megamat Single Camp Mat but you'll be absolutely fine using it, it will handle weights well over 120kg.

I just had a crack at this with our display models and you shouldn't have any issues at all using your Zempire Megamat Single Camp Mat on an Oztrail Deluxe Stretcher.

The Zempire Megamat Single Camp Mat has quite a large valve on it. You can use one of Zempire's Pumps, which will allow you to add pressure although they don't completely seal over the valve. Alternatively, you can just use your mouth to add some pressure to your mat. It shouldn't take any more than about 10 breaths to give your mat about as much pressure as you'd want without overinflating it.

Comfort can be a fairly subjective thing but I'll give it my best crack! I've just had a lie down on both the EPE F100 & the Zempire Megamat Single Camp Mat. The EPE was a lot firmer and felt a little more rugged, had a thicker material too. I did find the Zempire a little more comfortable, I sank lower into it and it was a lot softer but I still didn't find myself lying on the floor. I think a big part of it comes down to whether you prefer a softer or firmer mattress.

I've just had a look at our display model of the Zempire Megamat Single Camp Mat downstairs and had a try with the Exped pump on it. The valve on the Zempire is a lot larger than the Exped, so the pump doesn't seal 100% well but when help flush against the valve, it definitely does inflate the mat more.

You'll have no issues whatsoever putting one of the Zempire Megamat Single Camp Mats on a camp stretcher. It'll definitely make you a fair bit warmer and more comfortable too!

I've just laid on them both in store and can't feel a difference, however, a whole night sleep would really be the true test of comfort.

The only major difference I would mention is that cost naturally differentiates quality, but the Zempire Mat is so new and so this is a bit of an unknown as to how well it performs over the journey in comparison to the Exped Megamat.
