Will my LED strip be able to handle the heat & sunlight on long summer trips? I plan to set it up in my boot where half of it will be exposed to sun through a mildly tinted back window. Thank you! :)

G'day Kala,
There shouldn't be any issues with the lights at all, the only thing really to consider is the stick-on tape that comes with the lights can be a bit hit and miss, and may fail in the heat of the back of the car. If you can upgrade the tape or find an alternative mounting solution, that would be preferable.

Stick to side of caravan/ camper1 answer
Coupke of a qns. How strong is the adhesive, will it stick to side of caravan or camper and remain on? If sticks to carvan/ camper would it lift the paint or damage to duco? Is it for one use only, and the adhesive will not restock?
Trudy.thermomix@outlook.com - Benambra, VIC(2 years ago)
G'day,
This stick-on light strip is for permanent mounting, once it sticks on, it's not designed to be removed. You can absolutely stick this to the outside of your caravan if required, but make sure to give the surface a good clean and remove any dust or debris before application. Whilst the light strip is waterproof, it would be preferable to mount it in a sheltered location, eg under the van awning which offers some protection even when rolled up.

Can led light strip joiners be used?1 answer
Are you able to cut these strip lights to size, and then use strip light joiners to reconnect and daisy chain them? I'm looking at using right angle connectors around the tail gate of my 4wd canopy.
Rob - Adelaide, SA(2 years ago)
G'day Rob,
Yep, you absolutely can. They don't come with the joiners, but you can definitely chop and modify for your set up with no issues if you've got your own joiners, etc on hand.

Join two?1 answer
These can be joined together 2 or more right?
John - Maitland, NSW(2 years ago)
G'day John,
Yes, that's correct. They have connectors on either end of the cable, so you can either daisy chain a series of lights, or use a splitter cable to have multiple strands controlled by the same switch.

Dimmer switch1 answer
Is the dimmer switch also waterproof and can it all be hardwired externally?
Adam - Sunbury(3 years ago)
G'day Adam,
The dimmer is excluded from the IP68 rating, so no, it's not waterproof. We wouldn't recommend hardwiring this externally where it will be continuously exposed to the elements.

Can I split this in two and then run them in series? 1 answer
I want to install a 1 meter light strip on the side of the vehicle and a 1 meter light strip on the rear.
Alex - Artarmon(3 years ago)
G'day Alex,
Unfortunately, this won't work, while you can cut these strips down to size, the connector on the opposite end can't be reversed to connect to the powered end, it exists so that you can chain two strips together. You might be better of purchasing two of the 1m Flexible Strip Lights, and a range of splitters/connectors depending on how you plan to set it up.

Hi, I recently purchased this item from you.1 answer
Can you advise me if the LED strip can be cut to a desired length and used as a single non extendable light.
David Marr - Curra QLD(4 years ago)
G'day David,
You’re able to cut the LED strip every 5cm, so you can tailor the size to suit your set up.
