Power outage1 answer
Can this still be used if there's no power (flat battery, no shore power etc)? Is there some sort of manual over-ride?
Kim - Sydney, NSW(1 year ago)
G'day Kim,
We've had a similar question before, so I'll pop the answer below which hopefully covers everything:
Thetford doesn't indicate how long the batteries will last on the 565E, so it would be worth carrying some spares. Unfortunately, if the batteries are flat there isn't a manual flush option, these can not be hooked up to a 12V source.

Chemicals1 answer
What exactly are each of the chemicals that are required ?
Shenae - Joondalup, WA(2 years ago)
G'day Shenae,
The Aqua Kem Blue and Green are both designed to break down waste in the waste tank, with the difference being the Green is septic safe. The pink is a flush water additive to help keep the flush water clean and fragrant. We generally suggest that people buy one of each the green and pink, or blue and pink, to begin with.

Pump Noise1 answer
Is the electric flush very noisy compared to the 565P and the 365 hand pump systems?
Ben - Adelaide, SA(2 years ago)
G'day Ben,
Whilst I haven't had personal experience with these toilets some of the feedback we've had is that the 565e is louder and gives you the same amount of water at the same volume each time. The manual pumps allow you to tailor how much water you need and give you the option to pump slower to be a lot quieter in the middle of the night.

Carry bag1 answer
Is there a carry bag for this toilet? If so what is the availability and cost?
Helen - STRATHALBYN(3 years ago)
G'day Helen,
I can confirm the Australian made Blacksmith Porta Potti Toilet bag does fit this toilet. You'll need to order a XL size. You can find the link HERE and once its opened, click on the 'size' box and pick XL.

Floor plate1 answer
Do you carry the floorplate for the Thetford 565e for use in a boat? If so what is the cost?
Scott - MERIMBULA(3 years ago)
G'day Scott,
Unfortunately not at this stage, these are brand new to us, so we don't have any accessories as yet, we're looking to get them in the future though, so watch this space.

How many flushes1 answer
Do you know how many flushes you get per battery life and if you happen to lose power can you flush the toilet manually? Can the pump be hooked into 12volt power?
