No need to panic if a bunch of mates rock up to your campsite needing a bit of shelter or if the scorching arvo sun drops just low enough that your RV Plus awning can’t quite filter the glare, all you need to do is attach the RV Plus Zip-in Tarp Extension from Oztent, and quick as a flash, you’ve got cover without needing an extra gazebo.
Compatible with the RV Plus range of tents, and designed to use when optional modular panels are not in place, the extension uses zip attachment to easily join onto your awning and a Velcro strip to support and reinforce the zip plus to prevent rain seeping through. The 210T ripstop polyester fabric is cut to a trapezoid design and provides an additional depth of 2.5m sheltered space. There are 3 x 2.3m poles included for convenient setup and 3 x eyelets along the front edge to insert the support poles before attaching guy ropes and pegging out.
When you need some extra shade or shelter from the rain, or to declare your tent as the party-house, zip on the RV Plus Zip-in Tarp Extension from Oztent so you can get the good times rollin’.

How does it go in the rain?1 answer
I'm interested to know if it pools in the zip area please.
Donna - Brighton, SA(5 months ago)
G'day Donna,
If you have tied out all the guy ropes and have the extension out tight you shouldn't get much pooling in the zip area. The Awning pole in the middle of the extension creates a peak and helps water run off the side to try and avoid this. This will hold up well in the rain when set up correctly.

Rx5 compatibility 1 answer
Hi there, does this work with the rx5?
Adam - Coomera, QLD(2 years ago)
G'day Adam,
No, these aren't compatible with the RX5 tents due to the zipper configuration on the RX tents.

RV plus Zip in extenson1 answer
How will this hold in windy/rainy conditions. Also, I have extra Oztent ridge poles and 2.3 upright, no other eyelets others than those at the 4m end? Looking to be able to back my vehicle underneath and cook from rear
Steve - Warranwood, VIC(2 years ago)
G'day Steve,
They Zip-In Tarp Extension is made from a 210D polyester material, with a 1500mm waterhead rating, which is similar to lighter weight polyester tents, so it will keep the rain off, and if well secured with guy ropes, it should be relatively stable in low wind, but as always, we'd recommend bunkering down and removing it in very heavy weather. There are no extra eyelet holes, just the three along the outer edge. You could definitely back your vehicle up and cook under it, just be sure you'll have space with the central pole.

Extension on Oxley 7?1 answer
Just wondering if this could work with an Oxley 7 Lite if an extension pole was used along the front of the original awing?
Aaron - 3135(3 years ago)
G'day Aaron,
It might be possible to connect these two items, however as the Oxley 7 was discontinued before this Tarp came out we have no way of knowing or verifying this sorry.

RV5 front panel1 answer
Hi team..great work by the way! Does the front panel on your standard RV5 still fit with the zip in tarp extension using the adapter?
Matt - Freshwater(3 years ago)
G'day Matt,
Yes, you can still attach your RV5 front wall when using the awning connector to connect the RV Plus Zip-In Tarp, there is a spare zip tracker just for that purpose!

RV5 Tent1 answer
Would this fit the standard RV5 tent?
Ashley - Currimundi, QLD(3 years ago)
G'day Ashley,
You can use this with your RV5 tent, however, as there is only one zip connector you can choose to either have a front wall panel, OR a zip extension - not both.

RV43 answers
Hi team, which one if these would fit the RV4 best?
Toni - Kurri Kurri(3 years ago)
G'day Toni,
Thanks for getting in touch, the RV Plus Zip-in Tarp Extension is only compatible with the new RV PLus models, so, unfortunately, you won't be able to use this with the standard RV4.
Leece - Snowys(3 years ago)
The Oztent Group have said on their Instagram that the RV-3 Plus Zip-in will work with the RV-4.
Erin - Lewisham(3 years ago)
