Can you put an anderson plug on this instead of hard wiring to battery? prefer not to have it switched on 24/7!

You can if you like, otherwise hardwire it & install a rocker switch so you don't have to keep plugging and unplugging the fridge. Hope that helps.

The fridge itself need to be hardwired in, ideally by an auto electrician if you or a friend/family member don't have the appropriate skills to DIY it. There are 4 'L' brackets that come with the fridge to mount it in place, the only consideration if doing so in an enclosed space, is that there is adequate ventilation for the compressor.

I've spoken to engle on this one & they're not load rated for stacking and need to be mounted to a solid base. You'd need to have a shelf between them if you want to have one above the other. Hope that helps!

No, Engel have advised it can't. The previous model had flexibility with compressor placement, but this model doesn't and is ultimately fixed at the rear.

If the unit if being installed into a fiberglass set box on a boat, how much space needs to be allowed for ventilation around the top bottom sides and back? Also If the compressor is inside the box, can we just put large vents beside it for ventilation as an alternative?

The SB30F is the new model and the compressor can no longer be mounted separately. The installation instructions advise the fridge to be installed with adequate airflow but do not specify the requirements for the fridge generally. The Compressor requires an intake and outlet vent size of 8 x 20cm as a bare minimum.

No, the SB30F doesn't have 240V capability. They're designed to be directly wired into your vehicle, so aren't easily portable or removeable.

A few small differences being that the is no wiring loom supplied, the compressor cannot be mounted separately to the fridge, & there's been some tweaks to the power supply which means the SB30F has a slightly higher power draw. In terms of the additional weight, Engel don't have a clear answer on that, but attribute it to minor design changes with the internal steel frame and compressor housing.
