I don't think there are many portable pop up shelters or Gazebos that are designed for heavy rain. While the roof of the Hex is 'waterproof' it is designed for mild or light rain rather than a downpour.

You wont get a colour match, but K-Tape should do the trick.  Hopefully being up on the roof it will be less visible.
It's 3" wide, but two overlapping strips applied both inside and outside of the Hex House roof will have you covered.

The walls aren't removable - only the solid panels that velcro over the mesh are - so the door way only zips open.  You can tie back the door sections like a curtain, but if you are wanting more of a full open side you could look at the Oztrail Gazebo range.  The dont come with walls, but there are accessories that you can mix and match, and will give you the option to have one whole side open.

I'm not sure about 'extra poles' without seeing how you are setting up and what's come with your Hex House, but are you using doorway poles?  If you aren't then that's what those poles are.
The info should be in the instructions, but they ultimately just slip upright, internally, into each side of the doorway to help maintain rigidity and structure in this section.

Thanks so much for your patience!  Apparently there isn't a hook/loop specifically for a lantern, but there is a little ropey thing that you use to help you pull the roof down for pack up, which can easily be used to support a lantern.
As long as its not a huge heavy lantern, you'll have no issues, so best to stick to something around 500g mark or less.

Yes, the Screen House Hex is freestanding, so you can set it up inside your marquee tent and just secure the bottom. Just make sure it is well secured, as the guy ropes help to anchor the screen house in adverse conditions.

There aren't roof level guy rope mounts, but they are integrated into each side of the screen house around 1m off the ground. If you have a look at some of our customer photos in the review section you'll be able to see where the guy ropes attach and how the provide stability.

Yes, the Screen House Hex is supplied with a nylon carry bag. The packed length of 190cm is when it's in the bag, the box it is supplied in for shipping in slightly longer.

Not a silly question at all! They dont come with any walls as a standard, so you'll need 5 x Oztent Screen House Hex Walls.  The entry panel is mesh, and  as there are no 'zipped' wall options, this will need to stay as is.  The solid walls will attach by velcro strips on all other panels.  Hope that helps!

I've just double checked our stock here and the packed dimensions are correct. I think the videos you have seen might be the square version that does pack down much smaller.

You're spot on, the walls and roof of the Oztent Hex Screen House do 'pop' out when you're erecting the shelter. 

*UPDATE 2022 - The roof is silver-lined.  The separately available side walls are also silver-lined.

I rang Oztent as we don't have a demo model I could look at currently, and they've told me it doesn't have the silver lining sorry mate.

I would suggest that the best way to avoid any collapsing with the Oztent Screen House Hex would be to use plenty of guy ropes and have them nice and taught when it use. This should reduce any movement of the Screen House when it's windy outside.

The Oztent Screen House Hex has 6 sides and only has one doorway. Unfortunately, you can't completely enclose the Screen House as there is no velcro around the doorway to attach a solid wall (which would block your ability to get in and out as well).

It's hard to say whether the rain will run off any better with the Oztent Screen House Hex. There are often a few variables in play in regards to ground level, set up tension etc. The other thing to consider is that the Screen House is really only designed for mildly bad weather.
