The first thing you will notice about the Outdoor Connection Fortis Slat Table is how sturdy it feels.
The steel frame is constructed in such a way that there are no annoying bars under the table to catch your feet on, and it easily folds down to a manageable size that fits into any vehicle.
The table top is made of durable aluminium slats that easily attach and detach from the frame and save on the overall weight of the table. Easily accommodating four chairs, the Fortis Slat Table is a sociable choice for anyone hosting outback dinner parties for four or an evening of board games with your family.

Difficulty packing into bag1 answer
Just wondering if you have any tips on packing into the bag. I find this incredibly difficult and while I love the table this is a real frustration for me
Carla - Bracken Ridge(1 year ago)
G'day Carla,
It's abit hard without seeing how you're packing it up on your end, but I've just given it a go on our demo model instore without any issues & there's a little room left over. The storage bag should be divided in half with one section for the frame, and one for the tabletop. The tabletop folds up like an accordion, and then folds in half - so essentially you have two even accordion stacks side by side....or if this doesn't make sense, start accordion folding both ends at the same time till they meet in the middle. This will then just slide easily into the second section.
Hope that helps!

Harder to use than the zempire2 answers
I’m deciding between this table and the zempire bamboo slat in large. From the reviews it sounds like the outdoor connection is harder to assemble/disassemble solo (it’s for a solo camping 70 yo. Which would you advise I select.
Kaili - Brown(4 years ago)
G'day Kaili,
Both the Outdoor Connection Fortis, and the Zempire Kitpac are relatively easy to set up. The Fortis has slightly narrower slats and a lot more slats as they run in the other direction. Overall the Kitpac might be slightly easier to set up, but both are excellent tables.
Leece - Snowys(4 years ago)
I replaced Zempire large with this. Zempire not really large for a start. The folding timber is heavier and fiddly. Fortis much more usable and easy to move around.

Height1 answer
can the table be adjusted to approximately 550 in height :)
Carolyn Gardiner-Hill - ROSEVILLE(4 years ago)
G'dau Carolyn,
The in-use height of the Fortis Slat Table is 70cm and is a fixed height, so, unfortunately, you won't be able to adjust this down to 550mm in height.

Is this table suitable for a gas stove to be used on top?1 answer
Just wondering if this table would be suitable for a 2 burner gas stove to be used on top without damaging the elastic that joins the slats?
Pat - Ballarat(5 years ago)
G'day Pat,
Whilst it probably depends a little on the burner you're using, the heat level and the type of pot or pan on top, I wouldn't recommend it with the Outdoor Connection Fortis Slat Table as there's definitely a change you might damage the elastic.

Just wondering if there are any bench seats available that would go with this table?1 answer
Just wondering if there are any bench seats available that would go with this table?
Kirsty - Ballarat(6 years ago)
G'day Kirsty,
There's not a bench seat that we currently stock that fits nicely with the Outdoor Connection Fortis Slat Table, unfortunately.

Are you sure the weight rating is only 25kg?1 answer
Another question. Are you sure the weight rating is only 25kg? (Less than the small flimsy slat tables rated at 30kg). I found bd the same exact table on Amazon and is rated 80kg. Also, can I use a stove on it ( I have an MSR Whisperlite Stove)
Stefan - Midland (6 years ago)
G'day Stefan,
I've just given Outdoor Connection a call to confirm the weight limit on their Slat Table. They confirmed that the weight limit is 25kg. As for using your stove. You shouldn't have any issues using your MSR Whisperlite Stove on the table top.

Is this all metal or has plastic bits?1 answer
The weak points of these kind of tables are the plastic lugs on the legs that hold the braces. Are these made of plastic, or metal? Are there any plastic parts elsewhere that might break?
Stefan - Midland(6 years ago)
G'day Stefan,
I've just had a quick look at one of our Outdoor Connection Slat Tables, they've got some plastic underneath the feet & also some plastic clips to cover the metal clips that hold the legs in place.

Same as other un-answered question: Hi are the slats joined together with string or elastic1 answer
Hi are the slats joined together with string or elastic. I need to know to judge the quality of the table
russell - st kilda east(7 years ago)
G'day Russell,
I'm not sure how that question went unanswered Russell, so I do apologise about that. As for the slats on the table, I've just had a look at the display model on the floor, and the slats are definitely joined with elastic.Â
In person this is a very sturdy table, and we get a lot great feedback on this model - so we're confident it's a good egg Russell!Â

Ashley - WYNDHAM VALE, VIC(8 years ago)
Hi Ashley,Â
I sincerely apologise for the very tardy response, I'm not sure how your query went unanswered - but the slats on the Outdoor Connection Slat Table are joined by elastic.Â

Distance to leg braces?1 answer
I'd like to know what the distance is from the table top to where the leg braces are? I'm concerned that we may struggle to have 2 people on each side and not have their leg rubbing on the brace.
Carol - Brighton Qld(8 years ago)
Hi Carol, The angled struts on the long sides of the table go 39 cm in from each end, and finish 16.5 cm down from the table top height, and the cross struts on the ends are about 15 cm down from the table top. Depending on the chairs you use, four people will fit around the table with two on each of the longer sides, but each person will probably have the strut rubbing on one leg. The ends are too low to comfortably fit an adult underneath.
