An all-rounder down bag that’s made for exploring, the Trek Tk2 from Sea to Summit offers versatility and comfort for trekking or travel.
The Trek Tk2 has a tapered rectangular shape which offers more space compared to a traditional mummy bag. The shell is made from durable 30D nylon, with a soft and breathable 20D nylon lining which are both lightweight and compressible. To keep you insulated, the Tk2 is filled with RDS 650+ Loft ULTRA-DRY Down which provides warmth and is also easy to compress.
The oversized zipper draft tube has anti-snag materials to prevent the zip getting caught while the vertical chest baffles help stop cold spots forming. Use this bag as a quilt by opening the full-length two-way side zip and separate foot zip. If it’s a chilly night, you can just draw in the 3D hood to trap extra warmth.
It’s also a breeze to keep track of essentials such as your phone as you can store them in the internal security pocket. The versatile and classic Trek Tk2 Sleeping Bag from Sea to Summit is designed for keeping you comfortable on your adventures around the world.

Is there a sleeping bag that has all of the Tk2 qualities ie. two zips, -1 lower temp and mummy bag but is 850 loft for a lighter bag?Otherwise this one would be amazing for the overland.

Compressed size1 answer
Any chance of getting the measurements of this bag when it's compressed?
Leah - Melbourne (3 years ago)
G'day Leah,
It's a little tricky to give an exact size of the compressed bag, as depending on how much you compress it you'll end up with a longer/skinny package, or a shorter/fatter package. Our packed dimension on the listing is in the uncompressed state, they will compress about one third of the size, and end up about 25cm long. Have a look at our product video too, right at the end, Ben shows the size compared to a 1L Nalgene bottle which might help gauge the size and shape too.

overland track1 answer
Would this be suitable for the Overland Track in early March? I'm a REALLY warm sleep and can't decide between this or the TK1.
Cameron - Yaroomba(3 years ago)
G'day Cameron,
I would suggest considering the Tk2 or TK3 as the Overland track has extremely variable weather, and it's not unusual for walkers to experience snow in March. We'd suggest at a minimum that you look at the TK2 (-1).

Seasons1 answer
Is the bag a three season bag, or would it be too warm for summer?
Amanda - Maitland(4 years ago)
G'day Amanda,
It probably depends on what kind of sleeper you are - hot or cold? And also whereabouts you'd be camping? The Tk2 does have the option to be fully opened out and used as a quilt or zipped with just the foot area open, so you have the versatility of being able to use it across the seasons. Unless you're in a heatwave I reckon you'd be fine to use the Bag in summer. Hope that helps :)

Is the Sil Nylon compression sack supplied with the bag waterproof?1 answer
To keep bag dry
Scott - 3757(5 years ago)
G'day Scott,
The compression bag supplied with the Trek Tk2 isn't waterproof so we'd suggest grabbing a Compression Dry Sack in the small size.
