For small families on the go, the Turbo Lite 240 is the perfect durable and fast pitching touring tent. The Turbo range from Black Wolf is known for its durability, ease of set up, and lightweight construction so it’s the perfect range for a fuss and stress-free camping experience.
This newly updated range has tape sealed seams where the floor and tent wall meet, and the fly has wider corners to guard against water leakage. In windy conditions, the extra reinforcing along the roof poles and the stronger mesh on the windows and doors will add to the robustness of this tent.
The three-pole awning can be turned into an extended living area with optional panels, or it can be sectioned off with an optional screen room for a fully enclosed space. The Tourer Cap is made from different material and is not waterproof. Its designed for quick overnight stops in fair weather to protect the tent from possible overhead issues like falling sticks/twigs, trree sap, bird poo, etc

Yes, the Turbo Lite 240 Tents have a silver inner coating on the fly. We're not entirely sure when Black Wolf starting doing this, unfortunately, we don't have archived records with this type of information. The Silver Coating helps add extra waterproofing and durability to the fly fabric.

Grinding awning pole1 answer
Hi there, I've had this tent for about eight months and one of the awning poles has become difficult to extend. It makes a grinding noise as you try to pull it out. The other two poles are fine. Is this a defect in the product or can I do something to clean/lubricate the offending pole?

Sometimes extendable awning poles get a little bit of dirt in them and cause a grinding sound that will make them a little tricky to open and close. My suggestion would be to try and use some WD-40 and then open and close it a few times to see if the dirt dislodges.

I am interested in the turbo lite 240 tent because of its lower price to the canvas version, but I am concerned for the very low rating. Can you give me disadvantages/advantages of the lite version compared to the canvas one?

The Black Wolf Turbo Lite 240 Tent is lighter, packs down smaller and is cheaper than its canvas sibling. Whilst there is a reduced Waterhead rating on the Lite tent, you'd still need it to be absolutely pouring down to have any issues with leaking as 2000mm is still a very good rating for a tent to have. The Canvas tent will also probably be marginally better when it comes to condensation if you go camping in very cold conditions.

Some of the reviews I read mention that the turbo lite can have more condensation problems than the canvas tent. I wonder how much of a problem is condensation with this tent. I never had condensation problems with my old cheap dome tents. So I am wandering if the turbo lite will have more condensation than a conventional dome tent? thanks

If you're camping in super cold conditions, then condensation can become a problem in any tent. Some tents can be better at keeping it out than others but overall, if you open up some ventilation in your tent then you'll reduce the condensation a fair bit.

The Black Wolf Turbo Tents, like most tents on the market, aren't coated or treated with any form of flame retardants. In every instance, we highly encourage against having any form of flame within any tent for this (and other) reasons.
