If the factory headlights on your vehicle use a standard high beam (H-series) plug, you'll require an adaptor with your separately available wiring harness to get your lights up and running. Many newer vehicles use custom plugs due to their headlights using LED or HID technology, as well as when light bulbs are sealed inside a dust cap - these situatins also requiring an adaptor.
