Use as a Fry Pan1 answer
Hi Team, Is it possible to cook with this fully collapsed (as if it was packed away) and use it as a frypan providing the flames do not extend past the base's edge? Thanks
Brent - Brisbane, QLD(1 month ago)
G'day Brent,
It's best to avoid frying or sautéing in it as high heat might damage the silicone when fully collapsed. Sea to Summit suggests ensuring that the pot's base is always covered with water or liquid up to the level of the silicone when you're using it. When using it as a pot, it's important not to let the flames extend beyond the base's edge. While it's great for cooking as a pot, it's not designed for use as a frypan.

Zempire 2 burner deluxe wide1 answer
Hi, would this pot work on the zempire 2 burner deluxe wide stove? If yes, could I also fit a fry pan on the 2nd burner whilst using this pot? Thanks
Sandra - Greensborough, VIC(5 months ago)
G'day Sandra,
Yes, the X-Pot pot would work on the Zempire 2 Burner Deluxe Wide Camp Stove as long as the flame remains beneath the pot. Plenty of room for this and another Pan on the other burner as you have about 64 cm of space on the stovetop.

Trangia1 answer
Hi, I was wondering if this pot would go well with the Trangia stove? Where I'm planning to go, they don't often stock the propane gas canister but liquid fuel is available. Thanks heaps.
Joan - Bellingen, NSW(1 year ago)
G'day Joan,
Absolutely, the only real consideration with these is that the cooking flame doesnt reach or come close to the edge of the base of the pot. There is a circular line around the base that shows you the maximum flame diameter. Hope that helps.

Nestling 2l kettle1 answer
Can a 2l x-pot kettle be nestled inside this pot?
Paulette - Nannup, WA(1 year ago)
G'day Paulette,
The 1.3L X-Kettle will nest with the 2.8L pot, but unfortunately the larger 2L kettle is too big.

Butane stove?1 answer
Could you use this with a basic single burner butane canister type stove?
Sue - Brighton East, VIC (1 year ago)
G'day Sue,
Yes, you can use these on a lower BTU stove like a Butane cartridge option. Check out the 3rd product picture we have online, of the base of the pot. You can see a ring around the metal base which says "no flames past this point" - as long as you keep the burner flame low enough to stay within that marker, you should be fine.

Yes, these can be used on the 360 degrees Furno stove. This is one of the most popular combinations we sell!

Sea to summit cookware1 answer
Is it suitable to use of electric hotplate please?
Lyndal - Hervey Bay, QLD(2 years ago)
G'day Lyndal,
We've had these questions before on other products in the X range, so I'll add that for you here: By glass cooktop, I'm assuming you mean an electric one as opposed to induction? I can't see any reason why you couldn't, but you would need to adhere to the maximum flame/heat distribution ring printed on the base of the kettle. This is there to ensure the silicone sides of the kettle avoid as much direct heat as possible, so will mean you'd have to use the smallest 'burner' option. As the base is 5052 aluminium, it isn't magnetic, and therefore can't be used on an induction cooktop.

Work on a Coleman eventemp?1 answer
Would this be ok on the Coleman eventemp on the circular burners?
Darryl - Balaclava(3 years ago)
G'day Darryl,
We wouldn't recommend using the X Pot on the Eventemp Stove. They've really been designed to use with smaller hike style burners, that throw a smaller flame. The Eventemp flame spreads a little too far and can damage the silicone sides of the X Pot

Can it be used in a caravan oven?1 answer
I am looking for a pot to make casseroles
Julie - Cooroy (5 years ago)
G'day Julie,
The X Pot 2.8L is designed for use on a compact hiking style gas stove, so, unfortunately, we wouldn't recommend using the pot in your caravan oven.

Gas stove 1 answer
Can this be used on the Coleman HyperFlame FyreKnight Camping Stove Thanks
Hayden - Mackay (5 years ago)
G'day Hayden,
We've had a good look at the X Pot 2.8L on the HyperFlame FyreKnight Stove and unfortunately, we don't think it will work. The silicone on the X Pots can't come in to contact with direct flame, and unfortunately, the diameter of the pot and the stove are the same, so we wouldn't want to risk the flame damaging the pot.
