There's no wind rating for general family camping tents.  As this one is more of an entry-level tent aimed at the occasional camper, its not recommended for prolonged periods or consistent wind, eg coastal camping.
If you're away for a spell and some windy weather kicks up for a while and then passes, you'll be fine if you can support your tent with things like trace springs & having all your guy ropes out, but we wouldn't recommend it for more than that.

If you're a big coastal camper or regularly camp in places with persistent wind, I'd recommend looking at an air pole tent. They have a lot more flexibility and resilience in windy weather.

It can, yeah!
There isn't really any photos of it because it's not a common set up for majority of campers.  Whilst I agree it would be nifty, it essentially renders the darkroom feature & internal lighting as obsolete - which is the primary reason people go for this tent.
I'd say the feature of a double awning is more so for not having to worry about the orientation when you're setting up at a campsite, because you could go off either side, then it is about having both if that makes sense.

If you want to set this up with the dual awning, just be mindful that you'll need to grab extra awning pole, pegs and guy ropes, and you may want to pull the awning down each afternoon if you're wanting more protection from wind and cooler weather whilst you sleep, or obviously light.

Even though they are airbeds, it will give you a good idea on how you might be able to configure your setup with stretchers. ~ Ben

The awning can be left up for the duration of your trip, but bare in mind the BlockOut technology, to make the tent dark inside, is applied to the fly only, so with the front awning up you won't get the full effects of the light blocking.
If this isnt an issue for you, we'd only really recommend pulling it down if you're going to experience really bad weather eg. hectic winds and rain - generally people aren't out camping in those conditions anyway!

The Coleman Heavy Duty Tent Bag should do the trick!
Otherwise, and duffle bag or swag bag that covers the packed dimensions of the tent will be fine to use.

No, there's no specific requirements, other than it having the 5v USB outlet.
The space in the tent that the powerpack sits is quite large, checkout around the 10:20 mark on our features video for more info on that.

It might be best to have a look at the features video for this one as I'm not entirely sure whether you're referring to the side or front awning, however, either way, there are privacy covers on all the internal windows and doors, so you should only need to secure the awning if you're wanting to use the light block-out, and to baton the hatches for wet weather.

Ben is about 185cm, so hopefully that helps give a bit of height context. The front edge of the awning is about 170cm, so most users will have to duck to enter.

We'd recommend the Ultramesh Tarp in the 2.44 x 6.1m size, it's a near-perfect fit. The 3.65m x 6.1m is also a popular option if you're wanting to have flooring under the awning when it is open too.

The Lumos 10 Person Tent is a great tent and has a very similar setup method to the Northstar 10P, as well as near-identical features. Overall we've had more experience with the Coleman tents, as they've been on the market for a lot longer, however these Oztrail tents are shaping up to also be excellent, and we've only had good feedback so far.

The fly of the Lumos 10 Person Tent has a 3000mm waterhead rating, which is fairly standard for a tent like this. It will keep you dry in most non-torrential rain, but you can read more about these waterhead ratings in this handy blog if needed.

The lights are permanently attached to the frame itself, so they're not able to be easily removed or replaced, unfortunately.

As far as we know there should be replacement poles available for these tents. Oztrail list all of their current spare parts on their website and they still have the older Lodge Tourer frame spares listed, so we assume that once this new model has been out for a little while they will also have spare parts available and listed on their site.

Oztrail doesn't specify the denier of the PVC backed polyoxford they use, however it looks and feels pretty similar to the Coleman Northstar floor to us.

This tent has 3 rooms and 2 solid wall, fully zipped dividers. There is no open space once its fully zipped up.

This tent is the new model with a fresh makeover. Its larger - with 3 rooms and a few extra features including living space, thicker polyoxford floor, brighter lighting and No-see-um mesh (to stop midgies getting in!).

Yes the front awning area can be set up like the first photo without needing to purchase any accessories.

Yes the windbreaks on the front awning are stitched into the tent fabric along one edge, and then have a zipper on the other edge, so you can have them open or shut depending on whether you're wanting shade/weather protection or not.

This tent does have a lip between each room that is about 6cm in height including the zipper track.

The Oztrail Lumos range has only been out for about a month, which is why you won't be able to find many reviews on the tent. The new Lumos tents are fairly similar to the Darkroom tents. They have slightly different materials and overall weights, but they have the same waterproof rating and similar internal dimensions. It's hard to know exactly what the Oztrail is like as they've only just been released, but so far we're pretty impressed. The Colemans have been on the market a few years, and so far we've had very positive feedback on them.

Thanks for your patience, I've heard back from Oztrail this morning. The central room has lighting but the side rooms don't have lighting. The switch is double-sided and is located on the outside, to the left of the main door into the centre room (cabin). An identical switch is located inside the centre room (cabin) and is attached through the fabric to the switch on the outside. There is enough light throw in the central room that it could be used as a night light for children sleeping in the side rooms.

The OZtrail Fast Frame Lumos 10 Person tent is an even 3 room cabin with each section measuring approx 2m x 2.2m.
