Are these waterproof?
Sarah - New Lambton, NSW(1 year ago)
G'day Sarah,
They're not, no. Ultimately these are shade shelters, primarily in use for summer beach days. The material would probably hold up in light or intermittent showers, but there is no seam sealing or fabric treatment that would keep you dry in anything more than that. Hope that helps!

Sand peg size1 answer
What sand peg length would work best for these shelters - hard to work out simply looking at it online
Shaun - Petersham, NSW (1 year ago)
G'day Shaun,
The 200-300mm sand pegs are the size you would go with for general use, and you would need 9 of them - 6 for the floor and 3 for the guy ropes (if you are not using the sand bag option) You can find the recommended pegs in the "You Might Also Like" section on the product page, hope that helps!

Windy beach 1 answer
Are these any good at the beach on a windy day?
Morgan - Brisbane(3 years ago)
G'day Morgan,
They can handle a fair amount of wind as they have quite a few peg points, however they might blow around quite a bit on a very windy day. Ben gives the shelter a bit of a shake test in the features video, so it would be worth having a squizz at that for an idea of the flex it has.

Can I use this on grass camping and is the floor tough - I have 2 dogs that go camping with me🌸
Belinda - Kuranda (4 years ago)
G'day Belinda,
Good question, the shelter is really designed for using at the beach as the materials are fairly lightweight. The shelter should be fine on soft grass like you'd find in most caravan parks, so we think it should be ok, but it might be worth setting it up on top of an ultramesh tarp just to be sure.
