Whilst the couplers are made by Exped, they are largely universal and can be used with a large range of mat styles and brands.  You'll have no issues using this with old or new Exped mats.

Yep!  Absolutely - the middle mat will just have all 4 couplers looped over it, two going off opposite sides.

Yes, you can connect two of the Megamat Max 15 LXW with the Universal Coupler Kit. There are fairly stretchy so you won't have any troubles using them.

It wont work at all sorry.  The Exped Universal Mat Coupler is designed for joining 2 single mats only.

The Universal Mat Coupler Kit should work ok with a tapered style due to the loop adjustability. As long as you don't put too much tension on the strap at the tapered end I think it should stay in place ok.

I've just double checked and the Exped Universal Mat Coupler Kit are only compatible with the single mats (Megamat 10LXW).

I've just given this a whirl for you and managed to get the Exped Universal Mat Coupler Kit to work with the Darche 900 Mattress. The Coupler Kit has a couple of velcro tabs that you can use to shorten or lengthen the loops. Just make sure they're loosened to fit your Darche Mattress in.

The Exped Universal Mat Coupler Kit is designed to be able to be used on a range of different mats and they are adjustable. So you should have no worries with using it on a couple of king single Oztrail mattresses.

You can definitely join mats of different sizes together with the Universal Mat Coupler Kit, as the middle band and loops on either side are adjustable. There’s a good video that shows you how it works which you can check out here for reference.

I can see why yo'd be a little confused there, but I've just double checked and I've found you only need one kit, as each one comes with two seperate loops - one to loop around the mats at shoulder height, and the other at hip height.
